Welcoming korean restaurant with vegan options

The vegan options are clear signed on the menu. They also brought us small kimchi plates. Food was very tasty and felt authentic. Staff was freindly, too.

Not vegan

Really lovely venue and owner! Sadly the vegan dumpling soup I ordered (and confirmed was vegan) came with chicken dumplings and pieces of egg floating in the soup.

Not super vegan

Be very careful. They have vegan options. I was told the Kim chi was vegan but my husband who eats meat said it had fish in it for sure. Everyone was kind. However we were forced to order one dish per person even though we weren’t that hungry. This is more of a halal friendly place than a vegan friendly place.

NEVER RETURNING

Went there today for lunch with the owner initially very friendly towards all customer. Things changed when she saw my 5 year old son watching movie on his handphone AFTER he is done eating. She grabbed my son's handphone away and when my son cried, she even CARRIED and even DRAGGING him OUT OF THE RESTAURANT. I ran after her and my son till outside of the restaurant, she made my son stand at a corner facing the wall. She repeatedly say that KOREA CULTURE should not use phone while eating. The thing is Culture is a two way respect. You want us to respect your culture, you respect your customer too and not do as you like TO OTHER'S KID. We didnt even finish our food and walked out of the restaurant as WE WAS VERY UPSET WITH THE WHOLE SITUATION and the EXPERIENCE WAS NOT POSITIVE AS ALL THE REVIEWS HAD STATED. FYI OWNER, you don't treat other's kid that way and have learn to respect your customer. You don't just throw someone's son out of your restaurant just because he isnt following how your korea culture should be and mind you, he wasnt even making noise with the phone. WILL NEVER RETURN TO THE RESTAURANT. Parents with kids to take note IF YOU ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO HAVE ABIT OF SCREEN TIME AFTER THEY ARE DONE EATING, SHOULDNT COME TO THIS RESTAURANT EVER. There are witnesses around who share the same sentiment as us and we could report this to the authority as it is an act of PHYSICAL/MENTAL ABUSE TO A YOUNG CHILD.

Not as vegan friendly as reviews suggested

I feel bad leaving a negative review because the owner clearly meant well. Unfortunately I was given one vegan dish with meat and one with egg. The egg one was changed out when noticed but I’d already eaten half of the meat one before I realised. The little side dishes were a nice touch but also mostly not vegan, including fish and meat. There was a lot of pressure to leave a good review and the owner also took everyone’s photos, it was a bit of a strange experience but we just tried to take it in our stride.

5 stars if I could! So good!

The owner was so nice and kind and told us about the history of the dishes we ordered and brought out an extra platter of 16 (!!!) little dishes to try. Amazing experience!!!! Must visit spot.

Wonderful experience

Cherry (the lady serving me, I think the owner too) was very helpful. She knew what vegan was and identified the food I could eat. Service was very fast and she was attentive throughout. She also offered each customer a souvenir photo with the customers phone. There was also spontaneous karaoke by one of the servers, which was a lot of fun. They were vegetarian, vegan and halal friendly😄would 100% recommend!

Pros: Friendly, Fast service, Spoke English

Cons: Limited vegan options
