It was close in the opening hours.

I came just for free. It’s a really tiny place. Probably don’t know how to update the changes.

Wanted this to be good, was disappointed

The meal I had here was totally flavourless. I chose the larb because I usually like that. It was served without rice and the plate of bone dry leaves had some tiny ants, so technically not veggie 🫤. I have been travelling full time around Asia since COVID, I prefer to spend my money in small family owned places. Also I don't mind paying a 'skin tax' especially in poor countries like Laos but when I am charged more for a poorer quality meal than I have been having at riverside restaurants at sunset then I feel like I am being ripped off rather than over charged. I was charged 75000 for a plate of mushrooms, some dry leaves and a small bottle of warm water.

Slightly bizarre tasting food

The lady who worked here was very friendly. The menu was difficult to decipher as it was just images with no English text. We did not choose well and ended up with some rather strange tasting meals which were not to our taste. An interesting experience nonetheless! Maybe other options are better. Be aware that several of the condiments contain fish.

Cool experience, food is a bit hit or miss

I had the most intense peanut sauce of my life here, and some great fresh herby Larb. But also a plate of a bit chewy gelatin-y mock meat. Seems that some dishes are better than others. When we got there they were making the soy burgers, I think I should've gotten that!

We paid 170k for 3 plates. I'd say you should go for the experience alone. Finding the place, pointing at the pictures to order and supporting a vegetarian/vegan place you also get some good food!

They did have fish sauce on the table. We could not discover any non vegan ingredients in the dishes themselves so we assume the food is vegan and the fish sauce is there as a condiment.

Good portions, non-veg condiments

Ordered a Khao Soi and spring rolls. Nice portions! Was dissappointed by the condiments: fish sauce, lobster paste etc

Vegan and quick service

We have been there in the off season. Its not that easy to find, so I tried as good as possible to show you in the pictures.
Its complete vegan an huge portions. A variation of mock meat. We have been there in the off-seasion, so there was just 3 meals available, but thats absolutely okay for us. We are thankful for every vegan place on earth.
The owner don’t speak english, so you have to show them on the pictured menu-board. So its a little surprise what you get. It wasnt a high class meal, but we liked it.
One meal was 35.000LAK.

Don’t miss it out just because it‘s a garage. Laos is another standard and when you calm down and be fine with it, you will love it.
Spread the vegan message. 🌱

Good food!

Good food!! I asked for spicy and they listened! The staff was very nice, and she was able to explain dishes in english. Maybe someone else who reviewed had different waiter, but my waiter was able to understand and answer my english questions.

Pros: Lots of options, Nice staff, Good food

true local

I discovered this place scanning the area around our hotel on Google maps. I'm glad someone (@JunkyardOtter?) added a HappyCow listing coz I meant to but didn't get around to it. Sorry fellow vegans!

Happy to find an all vegan place in Luang Prabang. Looks a bit like the restaurant was set up in someone's garage. In fact, I think there was a mechanic next door which might be owned by the same family.

We pointed to something that looked like gai lan but was actually something much more bitter! Didn't really enjoy that. Also pointed to what I hoped was larp, and it was! Absolutely delicious with white curly fungus as well as mock meat and loads of fresh herbs. We also ordered rice but didn't need it. The portions were huge!

I didn't think it was particularly cheap, our meal cost 120,000 LAK, but good value considering the serving sizes. We couldn't finish our meal, which is usually not a problem for me!

Pros: all vegan , large portions , cooked fresh to order

Only vegan place in town

Very warm friendly owner, who speaks no English. You pick your food by pointing to pictures on the wall. We enjoyed the food, and were not put off by the primitive venue. We ate there twice and enjoyed the food both times. Had some trouble finding it the first time, it is across from a large local night market.

Pros: Friendly warm owner, Super reasonable prices

Cons: Hard to find, does not match well with Google Map

Amazing local food

This place is great, it’s just opposite the abandoned petrol station on Phu Vao Road.

The portions are huge and everything we had was amazing (two different soups and a portion of laab).

As other people have said, the menu is all in Lao so it’s a case of pointing and hoping for the best.

The only thing we are sad about is that we didn’t find this place sooner!

Pros: All vegan options, Cheap (50,000 a dish), Friendly staff

Delicious Lao food!

There’s no English menu or prices so you just point to one of the pictures on the wall and discover later what you’ve ordered. I ordered some dish with every kind of mock meat, peanuts and thick glass noodles in a chili sauce for 50,000 LAK. The portions are generous. Recommend coming with an empty stomach and openness to whatever ends up being served!

Pros: Many vegan Lao dishes, Delicious food, Generous portions

Cons: No prices on the menu, No English menu

Great fully vegan find

Cheap menu with big portions - we got way too much food! Nice and flavourful too. The location is about six minutes down the road from the marked location on the map, but it is easily identifiable as the outside says ‘vegan food.’ The menu had lots of mock meats, which was a nice surprise (some were much nicer than others). As mentioned by others the owners spoke no English so you really have to just point at random pictures and see what turns up - good fun!

Great vegan Lao food for a low price

No frills and a bit outside the main tourist area, but well worth the trip.

This is a little vegan place offering a variety of Lao dishes for low prices. I came here several times while in Luang Prabang, and everything I tried was great– definitely a refreshing change of pace from the more touristy restaurants downtown. The larb is especially delicious, arriving in a huge portion with lots of fresh herbs (but be careful, it's very spicy!).

Virtually no English is spoken here, and the menu is just a bunch of pictures on the wall labeled only in Lao, so be ready to point and gesture. Despite the language barrier, the staff was very nice.

The opening hours seem to be a bit unreliable; I arrived late once and it was still open, whereas on another day at lunch it was closed, for some reason.
