Just magic - Edit
Chef Kenny’s will be at the top of the list for every future visit to Vegas. Our table ordered General Tsou chicken, Kung Pao beef, bbq pork steam buns, veggie dumplings, California roll and Japanese ramen. Everything was stellar, but I could write a sonnet about the ramen. Someday I might. Pure magic. That is all.

Vegan Chinese Food - Edit
We went there after the show at The Sphere on Wednesday by Grab (around 40$ at 7.30pm +) and we called to make sure that they have a place for us.
Read moreIt was just like any other Chinese restaurant, but vegan and they serve dim sum. Portion was generous and dishes were served super fast. All of them delicious.
The servers were a bit busy, i think only 2 persons for the whole restaurant and the place was 70% full. I think because of this, they weren't very attentive, but they tried and they were courteous.
4 adults and 2 kids, it was like $130 including taxes and tips. We brought home one small box of left over. We gave the credit card to the waitress. She took the card to the counter for payment and came back with the receipt and said, the tips were already put into the credit card. I couldn't recall how much or percent she put, but it was a "right" amount.
Pros: Food, Ambience

One of the Main Reasons My Friends Go to Vegas - Edit
My friends and I tried this place last year even though only some of us are vegan, and now my entire friends group talks about it on a regular basis. Before we even book our hotels and flights now we make a promise to visit Chef Kenny's. The first time we went the waitress recommended the Korean BBQ Beef and we order it every time now. We went for dinner two nights in a row this week and the waitress asked us if it was a special occasion: no the food is just that good. The BBQ Pork Buns, Hot and Sour Soup, Cream Cheese Wontons, Korean BBQ Beef, Mongolian Beef, and General Tso's Chicken were the favorites. They have a delicious Thai Tea and last night we decided to have dessert. At the waitress' recommendation we got the black sesame cheesecake, their most popular flavor, and it was a perfect end to the meal. My friends are already sad that it'll be another year before we get to go back to Chef Kenny's. The staff are helpful, the food is fantastic, and being off the strip the prices are unbeatable for the amount and quality of food. Any time I go to Vegas I will make it a point to go back.

Great find in Vegas! - Edit
Great restaurant off the more touristy part of town. Dim sum was great, especially the pan fried pork and the prawn dumplings. Loved the cheesecake too. I found a couple of things a bit overwhelmed by sauce flavor (e.g. chow mein had too much sauce). Definitely would come here often if I lived in Vegas.

100% Vegan! - Edit
It's nice to be able to have dim sum & not have to worry what is in it. Chef Kenny came out to greet us & told us about a lantern during he had just created & it was sooooo good! Everything was great & nice to see a GF vegan separate menu! Highly recommended.

Huge variety but bland - Edit
The menu is all vegan and is full of dim sum items, soups, and main dishes. Everything was beautifully presented and looked delicious. The orange chicken was excellent. It was a bit less sugary than I'm used to, which was nice. The sesame balls (mochi) were great. I enjoyed the dumpling dipping sauce, and the brown rice was that wonderful multicolor short grain type.
Read moreThe other dishes we got were disappointing. I found the pan fried pork dumplings and shu mai to be quite bland. The hot and sour soup was indeed hot and also sour (in a strongly vinegary way), but it had little flavor other than that. I was expecting flavor notes of various mushrooms and perhaps also garlic or onion, but these weren't really detectable.
Next time, I will try different options on the menu, probably focusing on the main dishes and maybe trying a different soup.

Must try when in Vegas - Edit
We could only pick one fully vegan restaurant to try on our last trip due to time restriction and traveling with Omni family, but it was clear when asking fellow vegans and even non-vegan Vegas locals that Chef Kenny’s was the place to go & we agree! We had pan fried “pork” dumplings, sexy roll sushi, and king pao “chicken”, all of which were delicious. Certainly recommend!

We were thrilled to see this place on HC when planning a quick stop in Vegas. We haven’t had dim sum in years. It was delicious, incredibly fast, and all at a great price. The service was also great. We wish we had Chef Kenny’s closer to home!

Vegan Dim Sum - Edit
I saw this in a search and then drove by it as I was running errands so I told myself I'll come back for dinner here...
Read moreSince Dim Sum is their specialty I wanted to make sure I try a couple of dishes.... Got the Tofu Mushroom Wrap and Shiu Mai, since it's a cold day I got a Wonton Soup as well....
The Dim Sum had great flavor and texture... Unfortunately the Wonton Soup was not the best... Soup had good flavor but a bit salty and the wontons lacked flavor and texture... Overall I think they did a good job and I'll be back on another trip to Vegas
Pros: Dim Sum , Lots of choices
Cons: Sushi style rolls at a Dim Sum place

Best meal in Vegas - Edit
My partner and I ordered a few dishes at Chef Kenny's so we could try a few different things. Everything we had was really delicious, fresh, and flavorful. I left stuffed but wanting more. It's been awhile since I've had good vegan Asian food. It probably places in my top 3 favorite vegan Asian places ever! Would 100% go back if ever in the area.

Subpar, from past experiences. The principle of diminishing return. The S curve in effect here. Ex: used to be good , make famous then becomes complacent or I am jaded.

Great Dim Sum - Edit
Chef Kenny does it again with another fantastic vegan restaurant off the strip that is perfect for all kind of foodies.
Read moreThe dim sum here was fantastic. They have a selection of about ten items to choose from and the staff were happy to recommend options for us. We tried their Cha Shu Bao, Har Gow, Siu Mai, and Tofu Rolls plates and it was great. On top of that, we got their Orange Chicken lunch plate which came with a side soup. They were kind enough to give us another bowl so the two of us each had our own.
Everything tasted great and the food came out very quickly. I'm so happy that there are more and more vegan dim sum options popping up and this is definitely a must for any Vegas go-er that's looking for a plant based option.
The only slight concern I had was that they use styrofoam trays when you're doing take out which is not sustainable in the least, so hopefully they can update their packaging to paper utensils in order to be more environmentally vegan too.
Pros: Great variety of dim sum

Very mediocre. - Edit
This place has excellent reviews? Why? Because it’s vegan? The only positive thing was that the service was good. Otherwise, the food was so disappointing. We had the buns, which were ok. The crunchy sushi roll and dumplings were meh. The worst was the Mongolian spicy beef. It wasn’t spicy AT ALL and it was very clearly reheated. It was chewy and the sauce was sticky and thick and it was barely above room temperature. It came out about four min after I ordered it so I know for sure it wasn’t cooked fresh. This place was so disappointing. I would never come back.

And dim sum more please - Edit
Wow! Boy were we happy to be eating this (delivered to hotel pool). We got a lot more food than we expected (we thought each order of dim sum would be ONE but instead were multiple). We tried the egg custard, pan fried pork dumpling, turnip cake, mixed mushroom dumpling and the siu mai. It’s so hard to rank these because they were all fantastic, and it was fun to try textures and substitutes that are hard to come by as a vegan

Why the hype? - Edit
First things first: Bravo and thank you for being a vegan restaurant.
Read moreWe waited a long time to order, we even hat to wave for a waiter.
The soup and the dumplings were very good and hot. The other dishes descent and cold as well as the rice. Why don‘t they have these little réchauds to keep the food at least a little warmer? We didn’t even get drinking water.
After all these great reviews we expected a lot more.
