Samarkand has made progress - Edit
I have met with the owner of the restaurant and explained the principles of veganism and how to make the restaurant vegan friendly. Today I visited the restaurant and found that they have updated their menu with appropriate marks, separate for vegetarian and for vegan, and added a couple of vegetarian pages and one vegan page. Unfortunately, the vegan page has only three offerings: Carrots Curry with Garlic, Chickpea salad, and Oriental Vegetables. This is a significant improvement compared to my last visit in this restaurant in terms of correcting the mistakes, but they need to work on the variety of vegan meals.

Mostly not tasty - Edit
Enough choice for a vegetarian, but not really tasty. The only dish which was good - baked eggplant. Somewhat overpriced.

The Cow is not happy with this one - Edit
The Good: Tables have notes in different languages which is fun to read while you are waiting for the food. The menu is translated into 3 languages plus some hand-written pages in the back. Plov and ribs were good.
Read moreThe Bad: My friends are vegetarians and the menu had plenty of vegetarian-friendly dishes; however, one of the entrees had meat in it when it was brought to our table. The waitress said it was the kitchen’s mistake, no big deal, they’ll remake it, easy fix, right? WRONG, they decided just to fish out all of the meat, microwave it and bring it back to the table. You guessed correctly, they missed some of the meat. Called the manager who took the dish away and went to “investigate” never to be seen again for the rest of the meal. Didn’t bother to apologize or try to clear things up. We did run into him on the way out, but he looked the other way and ignored us.
On a side note, they completely forgot about one of the dishes, had to remind them 3 times about the drinks which they finally brought out AFTER the food. You may be thinking that the place was probably busy, but no, there was only 1 more table except us. The bill did come really quickly and the waitress did not bill us for that dish which is nice of them I guess.
P.S. The Cow is not happy with this one

Cons: Vegetarian dish had meat, They tried to take the meat out instead, Manager disappeared without resolution

Happy about vegetarian menu in Uzbek restaurant - Edit
I enjoyed the Turkic and Central Asian atmosphere and was very happy about the vegetarian menu in Uzbek restaurant, which is not so common in these cultures in general. Uzbek decorations and music were very nice. Food was good. I hope to see more vegan dishes and vegan menu there!
