Das Restaurant ist rein vegan. Man muss ein paar Stufen bewältigen um zum Eingang zu gelangen was mit Rollstuhl oder Kinderwagen nicht ganz Ideal ist.

Leider muss man wohl direkt beim Bestellen bescheid geben, wenn man die Rechnung teilen möchte. Wir konnten nach dem Essen nichts mehr aufteilen, obwohl unsere Bestellung lediglich auf einem Zettel stand.
Alles in allem würde ich das Restaurant empfehlen.

Sehr sympathischer rein veganes Restaurant mit vietnamesisch geprägter asiatischer Küche. Gute Auswahl an Vorspeisen, Suppen, Salaten und Hauptgerichten mit und ohne Ersatzprodukte. Alle Gerichte bisher super lecker und mit frischen Zutaten liebevoll zubereitet. Eine der besten Erdnussaucen, die ich kenne und ich nehme immer die Erdnusssauce, wenn ich kann! Mir gefällt besonders, dass man wählen kann, ob man frittierte oder gebratene Ersatzprodukte wie Ente, Huhn und Shrimps, klassischen Seitan oder Tofu oder auch mal nur Gemüse haben möchte. Die Preise sind seit Jahren kaum gestiegen und damit sehr günstig für die üppigen Portionen und frischem Zutaten, die man bekommt. Bonuspunkte für die Hintergrundmusik mit 80s Radio statt dem pseudo-asiatischem Gedudel anderer Restaurants und die ebenfalls sehr leckeren selbstgemachten Getränke.

Herzliches Restaurant mit leckerem Essen - Edit
Die Besitzer sind immer sehr herzlich, man muss nicht lange warten bis die Bestellung fertig ist und das beste - man muss sich keine Gedanken machen, ob ein Gericht vegan ist😄Jedes Gericht schmeckt frisch und lecker! Auch nicht-veganern hat es hier bisher immer gefallen. Wir essen dort regelmäßig!

Unsafe Allergen Labeling – Not Suitable for People with Food Intolerances - Edit

Read moreUnfortunately, I can’t say anything about the food itself – because I wasn’t able to order anything. The reason: unsafe and partly incorrect allergen labeling, which can be dangerous for people with coeliac disease or other intolerances.
For example, the spring rolls were marked as containing gluten in the appetizer section, but not in the main dish with rice noodles – even though it’s clearly the same ingredient. The dip could have been the source of gluten, but it's used in other dishes that are labeled gluten-free, so the labeling is at least inconsistent, if not wrong.
When I asked about it at the restaurant, no one could tell me which dishes were truly gluten-free. They didn’t even know what gluten was and asked me to translate it. I had already prepared a translation in advance, but even that didn’t help. I also asked what the soy protein is marinated in, but they couldn’t give me an answer. Instead, they just tried to suggest a different dish like a curry.
Most concerning: they claimed the dish "Bun Cha Gio" was new and that’s why the labeling was incorrect – but I’ve seen the same incorrect labeling on older menus, too. That feels dishonest and unreliable.
In the end, I chose not to order anything because I didn’t feel safe, and I didn’t want to risk my health. My companion was encouraged to order anyway – which didn’t make the situation any better.
If you rely on accurate allergen information: this place is unfortunately not safe.

Shanghai style duck was absolutely fantastic. The coconut milk drink was also super. I noticed that my Chinese colleagues often drink sweet milk drinks at Chinese restaurants. So happy they had one with coconut milk and I could finally try. I get why they always have this kind of drink now. The atmosphere was classic 90s Asian as well. I was kinda hoping the portions would be small so I could order two menus, but the portions were big and I could only have one.

This restaurant is very cute, the food is delicious and the prices are very decent. Beware that it’s cash only! The people working here are super friendly. There are many mock-meats, but also plenty of vegetable dishes if you prefer that.

Gute Auswahl an asiatischen Gerichten. Neben Bekanntem wie Kokos-Curry auch vegane Ente, Chicken und Seitan. Alles frisch gemacht. Auch die Vorspeisen sind gut. Wir hatten die Shrimps und die waren sehr gut (knusprig, shrimpsähnlicher Geschmack).

Read moreThe service was very friendly, and the summer rolls with hoisin sauce were delicious! The duck was crispy and tasty, the vegetables fresh and crunchy, but the dish was a little salty for me. The deep-fried starters are not my cup of tea because of the thick coating (such as the shrimps and mixed starters), but others in our group absolutely loved them. You get large portions and reasonable prices.

The restaurant looks like an old style Chinese restaurant, the owners were are lovely Vietnamese people who seem convinced vegans (if you read their website). So not the next vegan Vietnamese restaurant as they seem to pop up in Berlin everywhere.

Das Restaurant gibt sowohl von der Location als auch von der Karte einen Vibe von Chinarestaurants der 90er Jahre ab. Das Gemüse ist frisch und schmackhaft zubereitet, der Service hingegen ist sehr chaotisch und es gibt leider Kommunikationsprobleme (während unseres Besuchs gab es an mehreren Tischen falsche Gerichte).

Wenn man in das Asia-Chay geht, fühlt man sich direkt in der Zeit zurück katapultiert. Holzvertäfelte Wände, die typischen China-Kalender, olle Möbel und der Duft nach asiatischem Essen.
Read moreZugegeben wirkt dieses Restaurant ein wenig "investiotionsbedürftig". Legt man seine Zweifel aber ab, merkt man, dann alles sauber ist, die Bedienung kundenorientiert, das Essen preiswert und vor allem von guter Qualität ist.
Wir hatten Nr. 17&18 sowie eine Tom Kha Suppe. Satte Portion mit viel "MHHHH ist das lecker".
Wer "fine dining" erwartet ist hier sicher falsch, wer aber einen richtig fetten Teller mit wirklich hervorragendem veganen Essen erwartet, kommt voll auf seine Kosten. Sicher auch eine coole Location für Abende mit einer größeren Gruppe!
