Recommended for sushi and asian food - Edit

This place has a wide range of fresh vegan sushi which was so good my girlfriend and I ordered more. They also have a good range of soups, the pho was huge and very filling.

The staff don't speak a great deal of English but are polite and make sure they understand your order.

Pros: Good sushi , Cheap

Cons: Small

good - Edit

This is a nice little place, very basic seating and all but one of the staff members had no English. But it was good food and very reasonably priced. Myself and boyfriend went on a recent trip to Berlin, we both had a lot of sushi! Lots of vegan friendly options. I also had fried tofu skewers in a peanut sauce and my boyfriend had the pho soup which was huge and he really enjoyed it.

Pros: reasonable , near metro , good vegab options

Cons: basic decor, hard to communicate

Looks Good, tastes bad - Edit

The Restaurant Looks ok from outside, not from Inside. The same with the food. It looks good but didn't taste good. The vegetables where very soft and overcooked. Something tasted old. I will not come again. ;(

Great, cheap food - Edit

I had some springrolls (best springrolls I ever had) and some kind of soup with rice noodles and veggies which tasted amazing, too!! The restaurant doesn't look particularly nice but we had a good time :)

Still not vegan - Edit

We first visited Chay Asia in Summer 2014. It said "vegetarian" in German and "vegan" in English on the signs. We had sushi, which we ended up liking very much, but although not expected in such a place, we had to make sure it was vegan. It was a surprise to them that tamago is not vegan.
Summer 2015 we went back, hungry for Sushi. Although online, like here on happy cow, it says they went vegan, their menu still offers tea with honey and coffee with condensed milk.
So - be prepared to still check your choices with the waiters and ask, ask, ask.
Beside that, the place is only nice if you can sit outside. Inside it must feel like you actually are in that loud and stressed TV show they like to watch there and make you hear outside. And I have to agree with former reviewers: Smiling... is not their specialty.
All in all they offer a great variety and it seems they prepare it freshly. The food however is not mindblowing, but it's okay. For that, we will come back from time to time.

Pros: Great variety, Freshly made, Great location, surrounding

Cons: Milk & Honey, but vegan!?, Loud, Not welcoming friendly

yummy vietnamese vegan - Edit

Pho and summer rolls were very yummy. When the soup arrived I was skeptical at first because I imagined a bigger portion, but after finishing it I was really full. Prices are ok but not inexpensive. I liked that I could sit outside. Would definitely come again.

So disappointing - I felt cheated - Edit

After reading reviews I was really excited to try it out and then it turned out the be the biggest rip off!
I really felt cheated. Bad atmosphere, ugly decoration, staff couldn't smile back, and the food was very dull. Maybe they were stingy that day with herbs and spices, but the food is generally heavy. Way too expensive for fatty and starchy calories

Delicious and good value - Edit

I'm really pleased that this place has gone all-vegan (despite the confusing signs out front and some outdated takeaway menus, which are from their vegetarian days, we emailed them and they confirmed the change to all-vegan).

The food is really delicious. There's this peanut sauce dish, which comes with veg and tofu, or faux-chicken. It really is the best. I've eaten a lot of this sort of thing, and this one is right up there. The red curry is also very good, and there's a noodle dish called Mien Xao which I'm a huge fan of. The glass noodles in it are really nicely seasoned.

There's also a very wide range of sushi in various forms with various fillings (delicious as always, can't go wrong with sushi!), and there's a range of soups, starters and a few puddings too. We haven't tried any of those (yet) so can't comment on them (though all the puddings have banana, which is fine by me, but if you're not into banana then perhaps that's not a good thing for you!).

The staff are friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. There's seating indoors, and takeaway too (which is great for us who live nearby :D ).

Pros: delicious food - especially the Erdnuss!, reasonably priced, friendly staff
