Chau VeggiExpress - Granville Island

This is by far my favourite place to get lunch (I go to school on the island). Portions are quite large but even still the prices are a bit high. Everything is so fresh and amazing, I wish I could afford to go everyday. I was surprised that their menu is all vegan apart from ordering an egg on any of their bowls. The service is wonderful and I am so glad I stumbled upon this place.

I love Chau Veggie, this is one of my very favourites in Vancouver so I was thrilled to hear they opened a new location on Granville Island.
This is located in the food court at the entrance of the market.

The food is the same as in the restaurant except served in plastic bowls, which I don't love but this is a food court so you can't really have ceramic plates there.
The menu is exactly the same as in the restaurant on Victoria except they simplified the names to call them what they exactly are.
The whole menu is vegan except for an egg add on on some of the items for the non veg customers.

The prices are the same as the restaurant but it looked like the portions were a bit smaller than at the restaurant. I don't mind that, the portions are pretty huge at the restaurant anyway...

They sell take out items like taro chips and tofu paprika dip, as well as spring rolls.
The food is cooked on the premise and it is as good as the restaurant, except the atmosphere is a bit different.

I will be back very soon since this is in my neighbourhood!
