Worth it for the patio

Beautiful patio, a couple vegan options but pretty limited. The food was tasty, but very small portions for the price. We also waited a full hour for lunch (soup with bread)
Deserts were mostly vegan which was nice

Pros: Vegan deserts , Beautiful patio

Cons: Slow kitchen , Small portions (soup)

Some delicious vegan items

There are a few vegan items on the lunch menu, and they are delicious! The soup of the day was really, really good - it had potatoes, lentils and other things. I’m so glad I ordered the sweet-potato fingerlings with dip - they were excellent! (Unpeeled, no doubt super-healthy.) The house-made lemonade was good too. Everything is garnished with sprigs from the Horticulture Centre of the Pacific gardens.
If you’ve eaten at the café, you get a discount on entrance to the gardens. A very pleasant outing.

🌸SO 🌼 PRETTY 🌺

There were flowers everywhere! In your food and in your drink - and you could eat them!
The whole place is really beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly and they have more than one vegan option, which I did not expect at a place so far away from the town
I really liked it 🌸🤗🌺

Delicious Flavours

I had the vegan Golden breakfast and it tasted soooo delicious! Loved every bite.
My husband had the coconut lentil and veggie soup with sour dough bread and he loved it too.

Pros: Clearly marked vegan options , Very tasty food

Cons: Small portions don’t fill me, Expensive for portion size , Slow service

Charming restaurant

The restaurant is situated right next to the beautiful Gardens at HCP! Currently only their patio is open for dining and has a beautiful view of the garden. Their Eggs Benedict can be made vegan, however, please note they do not use egg substitutes to replace the egg, they just add more roasted veg & sweet potatoes but was still tasty with their amazing cashew hollandaise sauce! Their drinks were great as well😄Make sure to check out the Garden after your meal (admission is discounted if you show your receipt from the restaurant!)

Pros: Vegan options, Gluten free options

Charming and delightful

Warm service, soothing garden views and yummy food! What a treat to visit HCP and this lovely restaurant. We were on a tour of gardens and while a few gardens have beautiful teas, I didn't come across any with vegan options until here at HCP at Charlotte and the Quail. I was delighted! I had delicious roasted veg and my partner had a wonderful roasted pumpkin open sandwich. They make a great almond latte and even carry beer! We took a slice of cheesecake home and they thoughtfully gave us a frozen piece so it would keep on the drive home. It was the best vegan cheesecake that I've had! I can't wait to visit again. I didn't see Charlotte the cat but I did see Albert the cat at the HCP gift shop!
