Relaxed, friendly place but you're going to eat utterly amazing, super high quality food. Be sure to tell them your dietary needs ahead of time and they will delight and astound you.

Amazing vegan taster menu at great value - Edit
We visited Chapters for my boyfriend's birthday, and booked the vegan taster menu in advance. The menu was made up of five courses, with an extra cheese course and an off-menu amuse-bouche to start. Each dish was absolutely delicious and made up of delicious and interesting flavours. The wines were also clearly labelled as vegan. At £45pp, the dinner was an absolute steal. We would love to come back if we are ever in Hay-on-Wye again. Make sure you book in advance as you cannot just turn up on the night.
