Nopales, Nopales, Nopales and Beer - Edit
Awesome spot for a bite and a beer (or 2). Had the nopales (vegan) taco plate: 3 tacos of soft grilled nopales, carrots, onions and cilantro on delicious corn tortillas with HOT salsa. Washed down with a cool beer and a side of totopos with guac. The totopos and guac were just OK, everything else was excellent. Will go back to try the vegan mole burrito before I depart Berlin for sure!!!
Pros: Awesome tacos, Good vibe
Cons: Meh guac, Meh totopos

As good as (vegan) Mexican food gets in this town? - Edit
I feel like for decades Mexican food in Germany was a very German version of this ethnic food. Or with other words, not very authentic. Luckily this has started to change in recent years, and Chaparro might very well be one of the best places to taste (more) authentic Mexican food in Berlin.
The fact that they have vegan options is of course even better. It says all their dishes can be veganized, but I've never enquired about their quesadillas. They definitely have different vegan fillings for burritos or tacos.
On Wednesdays they also have two taco specials for €1, one of them always vegan. On top of that they also have delicious homemade salsas (habanero!), and carry a few mezcals. Awhile ago they also did a whole vegan week - maybe they'll repeat that one day.
Pros: Pretty authentic, Yummy salsas
Cons: No washroom, small space, Sometimes a bit unorganised

yummy vegan Tacos - Edit
Normally, I don't eat mexican food very often, as I don't find many vegan options in mexican restaurants.
This place is in a cool area in Kreuzberg and I discovered it, when I joined the "Vegan Tour Berlin" and this was one of the places where we shared some food and I was really surprised, in a postive way! Almost all their dishes can be offerd vegan style. The offer tacos with 3 different vegan fillings and this day, hey even had a special filling with sweet potatos. And I ate for the first time in my life Tacos with nopales (spicy grilled cactus!), the other filling was soy based (good) and vegetables. I also had some sweet drink with hibiscus. it looks pretty cool inside this small mexican eatery. I am recommanding it.

Pleasant surprise - Edit
This place had one pretty average review when I went so I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was freshly made and had a home-made feel. The staff were super friendly and there were three choices of vegan "filling" for tacos, nachos, sandwiches or burritos. They also had a choice of salsas to spice up your meal.
I'd recommend going in the summer and sitting outside. It's quite small on the inside though.
Pros: Home-made style delicousness
Cons: small interior

Good Salsas - Edit
Not too much to write about this place.
I tried a vegan burrito. It wasn't bad, but not particularly special.
There are three salsas though that you can serve yourself (roja, verde, and habanero). These are the real stars. Very fresh and flavorful.
The price was a bit expensive, if I remember correctly. About 6€.
Pros: Great salsa
Cons: Average Burritos, Pricey
