Diverse menu, very local taste - Edit
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere- clean, bright, with large booths and tables. The menu has a broad set of Chinese dishes, including plenty of vegan options. The taste of the food was very local, which I (probably unfairly) view as bland and somewhat watery. This was true even of menu items demoted as spicy.

good place - Edit
One of the best set lunch in town, for 61 HKD (including tax). Good quality and quantity with lot of choice changing everyday. I like it! Dinner are also good, but more expensive.

Horrible mock meat filled vegetarian restaurant - Edit
The restaurant started with good lunch set menu with various food to choose, as the month pass, more and more processed and mock meat were added to all the dishes. Clearly they are catering for non vegetarian, and find the need to add additional 'flavouring' and ingredients to attract their customers. It was very sad to see, as it has a great location, good service and nice seating as well, but the new addition dramatically changed the taste of the food, and it is just no longer authentic.
Read morePros: Location, Set lunch menu
Cons: Excessive use of mock meat, Unpalatable , Feels like they are catering more for meat eaters

Very friendly staff and great food! - Edit
Had one of my best food experience in Hong Kong at this place. The lady who helped us was very good at english and when we were selecting food for take out she offered us free tea when we were choosing, we ended up eating at the place instead and we didnt regret it. The food was top notch, really really good.

very good, hard to find - Edit
This is a tricky location to find if you're a visitor but it's worth the effort. Follow the pin on the map - there's a tiny sign on the wall outside. Then go back the hallway and take the elevator to the 7th floor. There was only one person who spoke any English so you may have to work a little during the ordering. Everything is vegan except those items clearly marked with egg (small egg icon. Names of dishes are in English. Food is really good. I had their spicy "pork" and their veggie and tofu balls - both were amazing. Minimum $100 HKD after 6:00 pm so get an appetizer (most meals are under $70). To go orders welcome. Visa and MasterCard are ok. No Amex.

Hi Jon,
Read moreThanks for having constructively contributed to happycow. In reply to your remark re finding ChangLe I've submitted a listing update. Causeway Bay MTR exit C is now listed as the nearest MTR exit.
For more detail:-
* Come our Causeway Bay exit C and turn right on to Lockhart Road
* Continue on Lockhart Road past the 1st road junction
* L Square building is then on the right hand side of Lockhart Road
* 7th floor
Thanks again for your contribution.

Changle - Edit
We went here for dinner and it is a nice little restaurant on the 7th floor. Food was really nice, a lot of choice and faux style meat alongside veggie and tofu dishes, good value about $220.00 for tea, dinner and dumplings for two....the staff were also really friendly and spoke English they were very polite....I would visit this place again :)

Changle, Hong Kong - Edit
This is establishment opened around a week ago according the lady who welcomed me. From the helpfulness and eagerness of the staff they appear to be keen to get the place off to a positive start.
Read moreI'd describe the place as mid range in HK in terms of pricing and décor. It's Cantonese style food and like most of these such places in HK, the menu is extensive. They had a set menu type deal on offer which my dining companion and I decided to go for. Starter consisted of 3 different small dishes. Main was accompanied by rice and then the dessert was the sweet bean soup. There was also a choice of chrysanthemum or buckwheat tea style drink (the buckwheat is pretty nice).
Dishes containing egg are marked on the menu. For dairy products dishes, ask a staff member.
Good food, friendly service, no issues re atmo / setting. Thumbs up from me.
