Thai street food - Edit
You want to try thai street food, but you are vegan/vegetarian. This lady is sitting inside a thai street food market. The experience is wonderful. Most of her dishes are 40baht, usual thai food is not spicy. Ask for spicy tofu......

Good food - Edit
Healthy thai food, you can choose whatever you want. The portion is a bit small to get full but for the price its totally okay. The minced meat was a bit spicy.

Great food at cheap prices - Edit
Lovely food, although eating it warm or hot would be much better. Tofu was very cold and all the curries were cold as well. Very cheap and good quality food though.

At the entrance of food market, second or third stand on the right hand side of the main isle. Definately a locals spot, tasty food, very kind lady and great prices, what is not to love. Eat in or takeaway, definately will go back when I am in that part of Bangkok.

Cheap and tasty - Edit
Vegetarian food stall with four options everyday. You get a big amount of rice or noodles and then you choose among these four options, which include broccoli and carrots, tofu, minced vegan meat with peppers and one that resembles chicken. They were all very good - and spicy. Lady at the stall is very nice.

Top destination for vegan foraging at the morning food market! - Edit
There is not just one vegan stall here but several. There are two stalls marked jay here where you can get a full meal. I ate twice at the one closest to the entrance, but there is a second one a little further in. The second one is on the right side if you coming from the main entrance. The food here was cheap (40 to 60 baht depending on what you get). The lady is nice, and the food is delicious. She lets you know what is or isn't spicey if you are concerned about that (give the spicey to me!)
Read moreThe two food stalls with hot meals are definitely not open on the weekend, but I went anyway and still got food! If you examine what's on offer, you will find other vegan snacks and treats around the inside of the food center as well as outside on the street.
I found these but I think there are even more.:
1. deep fried bananas, sweet potatoes, taro, pumpkin (lady said the batter does not have eggs or milk ect and is jay)
2. many types of cut fruits
3. smoothies with cow milk (can probably convince them to veganize but they might use the same blender that still has cow milk residue)
4. grilled sweet potatoes, corn, bananas
5. coffee carts where you can bring your own plant milk and they will make a latte for you
6. dessert stall that has items such as taro+coconut milk, and other things I did not identify
There are more possibilities but it would be best to go with a native speaker who understands veganism to fully investigate the others carts and stalls. Also, be prepared with your own to-go cups and bowls as single use plastic is widely used.
Pros: cheap, vegan, delicous
Cons: not open weekends or nights, disposable to-go containers (bring your own)

Hole in the wall hidden gem - Edit
We discovered this incredible food stall by wandering through the Food Center randomly one morning while looking for breakfast. We knew enough to be on the lookout for yellow flags with a red "17" symbol on them and were quite happy to find a stall that was entirely vegan. While there was no printed menu, the woman behind the counter spoke enough English to be able to help us understand what was available - and mostly what was spicy and what was not. We just asked her to give us a couple of plates of whatever she wanted, and we were thrilled with what we got. Two decent sized plates were only 90 baht - roughly $3 USD. The food was delicious and filling, and it was great to be able to support a fully vegan food stall. We went back the next morning again and had different options to choose from, which were equally wonderful.
Read moreSide note - there are other stalls in here that offer a vegan option or two. Just look for the same yellow/red flags. The first day we found a woman selling taro root in coconut milk that was absolutely unreal. We were more than a little sad when she wasn't there the following morning.
Pros: Cheap and delicious, Friendly and helpful owner
