Cheap and tasty - Edit

English menu available, order from the machine and the waitress will take your order slips (just be sure to specify veggie gyoza as it is all one button!)

Good food for the area - Edit

If you're stuck for vegan food this place is a good option. Handy to know it's a chain too. The ramen tasted like a place that does chain store ramen, but that's kind of what you expected anyway. Dumplings are just ok, but you got your food from a robot so that's pretty cool right?

Good option when you're stuck - Edit

This place is a chain and is great to have as a back up when you can't find vegan and vege places.

The ramen was really yummy and it was fun to order via ticket machine. There are a variety of pickles and sesame seeds etc on the side so you can pimp your meal.

It was cheap too!

Pros: cheap and available

Cons: serves meat

Vege ramen was sooooo good - Edit

Living in Japan is a constant search for good Japanese dishes that are 100% vegetarian (no secret bacon), I am delighted that Chabuton offer a vegetarian option, it is absolutely delicious, warming, comforting and full of flavor. A real mix of veg from tomato to ocra, it even has avocado in. You'll be thinking 'f*** this is good!* with every mouthful. Big flavor, big portion and cheap price. I also got the vege gyoza and they were delicious too!

Pros: Delicious , Cheap

Vegan ramen - Edit

Cute place in the 8th floor of a shopping center. Only 2 vegan options but SOO good. The only other time I've had fresh vegan ramen was in San Fran and it was not flavorful. This ramen was the opposite, perfect seasoning and flavor, so many different veggies, tomatoes, avocado, lotus, greens. Cool to be able to use the "vending machine" ticket method that a lot of ramen places use in Japan. Staff was very friendly.

Pros: Amazing flavor, Unique

Cons: In the top of busy shopping center

tasty, convenient - Edit

Only 2 vegan menu items, but both are delicious. Buy a ticket for the "limited edition" veggie ramen (which has been on the menu for years) and buy a generic gyoza ticket and specify veggie when handing to the staff. No break between lunch and dinner service, so great if you are passing through on some weird travel schedule. The chef behind this chain is the first person ever to earn a Michelin star for ramen. Fun to get proper vegan ramen at a "normal" restaurant.

Vege ramen in Umeda! - Edit

I am so concerned of the fact that, in JR OSAKA station, obviously the busiest station in Osaka, has NO vegan or vegetarian restaurants (sob) so your bet is coming to this huge Yotsubashi Camera building (in front of JR Osaka station- connected underground) go up to the 8th floor for this amazingly delicious vege ramen! Otherwise Kunanjai(?) Thai restaurant at Breeze Breeze 5th floor is also good but this acha button opens almost all the daytime and night time too!
