Great vegan options, but check your takeout or delivery - Edit
Their vegan food is great and I love their many vegan options, but if you get takeout or delivery be sure to double check the contents of your order as soon as it hits your hands. I was recently given the wrong (very not vegan) order, with the right receipt attached, and they quickly took it back saying they'd fix it. I went back to the car to wait and when I came back in about 10 minutes later to check how it was coming along, assuming they were remaking it and it was just about done, They said they were still trying to reach the doordash driver who they'd given the wrong order, my order to, meaning instead of just quickly remaking it like any other eatery I've ever been to, they were planning to try to get back my simple 2 entree & 2 appetizer order that had left the restaurant in a stranger's hands long ago back, to then give to me cold, who knows when, in who knows what condition and how many other hands had rifled through it. They seemed surprised when I was shocked by their plan of action and when I asked them to just remake it and seemed put out like that would be a big deal. They finally remade it and when I left they were still trying to contact some rando doordash driver 🙃 On top of all this they didn't offer credit, a discount on the bill, an appetizer or drink, or any other attempt to make it up or compensate me for my long wait due to their mistake. I don't know if it was all due to new, poorly trained staff with poor judgement & no common sense or if it was a really really off day for them; I've been going there for well over a decade but this experience will keep me from ordering takeout there anytime soon and it'll likely be a while before I dine in again if ever. Sucks too cuz they were previously in my top ten or so SL County eateries.

Served non vegan food - Edit
Ordered curry puffs and when I bit in they were (non vegan) cream cheese wontons instead. Then, my boyfriend ordered pad Thai and asked for it vegan, it came out full of eggs. Sad that I don’t think I can trust this place anymore😒

Best Thai I’ve had - Edit
I come here every time I’m in Utah and dream about it all the time when I’m back home.

Wonderful! - Edit
We just tried Chabaar for the first time. What a great meal. We had the spring rolls, drunken noodles, yellow curry, mango sticky rice, and a chocolate chip & walnut cookie. Everything was delicious. The waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about their vegan options. A lot of their dishes can be made vegan.

Would love to give 5 stars - Edit
One bite of the pumpkin curry with tofu and I began weeping tears of joy. The flavors were vibrant and full of depth. It was such a joy to eat this. Make sure to specify you want the dish vegan.

Local Takeout Go-To - Edit
We get take out from them all the time, and they are very good about labeling the vegan items and making nonvegan items vegan. Our go to order is vegan pad thai, spring rolls, fried tofu, and mango sticky rice (LOVE). My fiancé also enjoys their vegan cookies.

Vegan Thai - Edit
Will make any item vegan. We had the massman curry and pad Thai with tofu. It was wonderful and reasonably priced. I have been vegan for a year now and this was the best meal I've had in that time.

Get the Vegan omelette - Edit
I read many reviews in regards to the award winning vegan omelette they serve here. When I got to the restaurant they weren’t serving it, it wasn’t on the menu. I’d imagine they do brunch just on the weekends or certain hours. She said she’d have the kitchen make me one. They were very accommodating and we had great service. It didn’t disappoint. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever tasted in a good way. So good and unique. Everything was very reasonably priced as well.

Great food - Edit
I was surprised by how great the food is. The pad Thai, vegan style, the lettuce wraps with tofu, but especially the pineapple curry. It’s amazing!!! The mango curry is a close second.

I can be a food fussy and sometimes am not very adventurous. I’m glad I went outside my comfort zone.

Great vegan options but watch out for chai tea - Edit
I've had the vegan brunch here a few times and it is always good. However, beware of the chai tea. I asked if they could prepare the iced chai vegan which they said they could do but later when I asked the brand and they brought the container to me, the ingredients contained milk products even though they did mix it with almond milk. Otherwise, a great place to eat.

delicious curry - Edit
I have lived right next to this restaurant for years and never gave it a visit until a month ago. our waiter was very polite and helpful, they care about their potentially vegan customers as I ordered first and my brother (who is not vegan... yet ^^) ordered their pad thai with tofu. she reminded him that the pad thai had egg in it as she thought he could be vegan. very satisfied with their delicious curry, clean restaurant and mellow atmosphere.

Always treated well, wonderful service. Very knowledgable of the vegan diet, gluten free, sugar free, just mention any allergies/preferences. They do also make kombucha and vegan cookies. I'm a regular, usually get the yellow curry, sub vegetables for tofu, brown rice, spiciness level 02. They have an extensive spicy level but after 03 each level is another $1.00. Personally I rarely eat sugar and I think that helps me to handle more heat, that being said I've still never went past three and that is when I'm feeling up for a challenge! Ha, frequent breaks and alkaline water swishing in between. Choose 02 if you like a little burn, 01 if you like spicy food, and 0.5 increments may also be used. I highly recommend beginning modestly, (start at 01, then slowly work forward-1.5-02-2.5-03) if you do find it is too spicy for your liking, they can often dilute it with warm coconut milk, but it's preferred to get it right the first time! Overall awesome atmosphere, friendly and knowledgable staff, truly delicious food!
