Serves meat, vegan options available. Local, family-owned restaurant with several vegan-modified choices. One of the only restaurants around with English-speakers who understand what vegan is, as of Nov '22. Also runs a small B&B dormitory for backpackers. Dishes include gado-gado, lontong sayur and nasi tempeh (must specify vegan / no egg.) Open Mon-Sat 6:30am-3:00pm. Closed Sun.

Vegan food in rural Flores

Wonderful hosts who know what a vegan is and are happy to accommodate. I stayed at the backpacker dorm and had a wonderful time.

Pros: Vegan options in rural area, Very friendly local family, Inexpensive
