The sweet potato + cauliflower burrito is 10/10, but I thiiiiiiiink they gave me a dairy-based sauce on the side, even tho I specified vegan + made the appropriate subs on my online order. Never hurts to double-check.

Here from out of town (love this HC app so much!) and had a late lunch. Server was nice and we were served in a timely fashion. The Brussels sprouts were REALLY tasty, almost sizzling in their little skillet as they were brought to the table. We opted to have the Daiya cheese on top, although the sprouts themselves were so flavorful that it really isn’t even necessary.  Main course was cauliflower nachos, which was a generous portion and pretty to look at, as well as being yummy.

We chose Centro Neighborhood based on Happy Cow reviews, and we were not disappointed. There were several vegan and gluten-free options, and they were all delicious! We had the Brussel sprouts vegan, Centro Bowl vegan, and Habinero Enchiladas vegan.

Excellent food and clearly marked Veg and Vegan options - Edit
Currently, El Centro is our goto restaurant. It's just so nice that everything is clearly marked as having available veg or vegan options. The servers also know, so you don't have to specifically ask for this sauce or that etc. Just tell them you want the vegan version of X dish.
Read moreI don't know why one reviewer didn't like the nachos. We all (2 adults, 2 teens) think the nachos are fabulous. There's a bit of vegan cheese, but the sauce and the seasoning on the cauliflower is what makes it so good. And the nachos are huge.
We also like the bowls. I normally don't like sweet potato in my savory dishes, but they do just the right ratio, so I like them!
They also have a little bit of outdoor seating (two-person tables and one 4-person) and can send you a text when a table is ready.

Good food, pleasant staff, small portions, and high prices. But we would do it again as a good time was had by all. Definitely try the green beans, they were very tasty.

The nachos had daiya cheese on them. I was hoping got $17, they would have made their own cashew cheese. I felt like I could have made these nachos at home. The chips were delicious. We also tried the enchiladas, which were fine but I wouldn’t get them again. All of the vegan options are just removing cheese and have cauliflower. I didn’t see many other options. I’m surprised this place has gotten such good reviews for vegan stuff.

New Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood that has vegan options clearly labeled. I ordered 1 taco and the nachos. The taco I ordered was good—I would like to try the other. The nacho chips were a little too salty and I wasn’t a fan of the taste of the cauliflower.

Visited again on 4/7/2022 and it was FAR better from when I visited in 2020 when it was open for a short time. I ordered the Brussel sprouts, quesadilla, and black bean and sweet potato taco. Everything was delicious and I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

I would give this place 5 starts if I could! The vegan options are absolutely amazing - such amazing flavors - very intentional and thoughtful dishes. Everything was delicious! Incredibly delicious!!

We found Centro through Evening and were thrilled to see they had vegan options. We were super excited to visit and they did not disappoint! We love, love, love their food - we tried almost every vegan item on the menu - amazing cauliflower nachos, tacos that are off the hook, and their 157 burrito vegan-style that is incredibly craveable! Their salsas are delish and all of the ingredients used are fresh and top-notch, bursting with flavor. This is a new regular spot for our entire family. Thank you, Enrique, for bringing such a wonderful restaurant to our community! We'd give you 5 stars but the Happy Cow system doesn't provide the option. Heck, we give Centro 10 stars!!

Fresh, unique, contemporary Mexican food - Edit
This is a cute little place with a number of quite good vegan options. We got the rajas tacos (veganized), Brussels sprouts, and vegan lentil soup. It was all great. The portions initially looked a little small, but we actually ended up kind of stuffed (and I only ate 1 taco!). The tacos were quite tasty, with lots of veggies. My only critique is that they were a little greasy--not sure if it was the vegan cheese or the veggies. The Brussels sprouts were excellent and very filling. But the best thing was the soup--it was obviously scratch-made and had beans, corn, avocado, etc. in a chipotle broth. It came with tortilla strips. For real, I could probably drink a whole cup of that broth alone, it was so good. The soup was also very filling. They also have good scratch margaritas in these cute little to-go bottles. I think all the packaging was compostable except the margarita bottles. We will definitely return. The only downside is it's a bit on the expensive side. But I've been to plenty of places that were even more expensive with less remarkable food, so there's that. I wanted to give it 5 stars but Happy Cow wouldn't let me because it's not fully veg.
