One of my favorites - Edit
I love this place. Lots of choices for vegans, all clean, healthy dishes that give you a real nutrient and fiber boost if you've been traveling and living on a diet of pizza and pasta. It's very busy--we arrived just 20 min. before the lunch period closed and ended up with just soup (but a filling, tasty soup).
The menu on the wall and signs over the dishes indicate which dishes are vegan. Unfortunately, my partner asked for the potato salad, which was marked vegan, only to find it had chunks of egg in it. We took it back and the staff was apologetic and replaced it and changed the signs. The little signs also list the ingredients (in Italian) so read the signs, as the next time we went we saw something else with egg in it with a "V" for vegan mark.
In spite of these slip ups, it's still one of my favorite places in Bologna.
Pros: Lots of vegan choices, Clean, healthy food, Helpful staff
Cons: Non-vegan items were marked 'vegan', Can be crowded at peak times

Multo bueno - Edit
This is really a good place to be when you are vegan/vegetarian. Nice meals for reasonable prices. You have to know the location. Service is very friendly, they explain everything when you ask. Italian-language menu, but just ask the people behind the counter and they will tell you everything!!
Pros: Very nice staff, Almost 90% is vegan, all is organic, City Centre
Cons: You have to know where it is..:)

Great veggie & vegan self-service cafeteria - Edit
What Centronatura is:
- a self-service style cafetaria.
- a big place (it's part of a 1200sqm health center, and the restaurant itself has 4 different rooms), very well located in the heart of Bologna's centro storico.
The food is diverse and tasty, simple and unpretentious, but yet yummy ideas of vegetables, cereals, seitan or tofu mixes. For lunch (I think the dinner menu is a bit more expensive), it's pretty cheap, 10€ for a 3 dishes combo that will probably fill you up.
It might be not the best decoration or atmosphere for a restaurant, but the staff is nice, and the place is quiet, good, and healthy! I just wish such a place would exist in Paris.
Pros: tasty, Good value, Location

Good, unpretentious food - Edit
A very friendly place, with staff happy to help a hapless Englishman. I had been a little worried that Centra Natura might be one of those 'holier than thou' health-churches; speaking personally, my body is NOT a temple, more an abused vintage vehicle lucky to pass its MOT. But I need not have worried. The food was delicious and NOT over-priced- 10 euros for a three-serving main dish, 3.85 for a dessert. I like the self-service styling, less intimidating than waiting staff, and the atmosphere was relaxed and sociable. The cook I spoke to was very charming and understanding. Get there early; when I left, there were dozens of people queueing to be served- it's that good, it's that popular.
Pros: Charming, helpful staff, Excellent food, Nice beer
Cons: Very popular

An ingenious idea in the heart of Bologna - Edit
A vegetarian canteen in the heart of Bologna, with a considerable choice of vegan dishes. Food is nice, but I think it is a little too expensive, with respect to the portions and the environment. Not saying the meal was not nice, but I spent for lunch more here than in a restaurant, eating considerably less. All in all, it is very handy, fast, and reassuring to know that such a place exist. The first time ever I see a vegetarian canteen and I really enjoyed the idea. I will sure get back, hoping to find a vegan budino!
Pros: Variety of veg options, A lot of space to sit
Cons: A little too expensive

Expensive for what it is - Edit
This is a cafeteria style affair where the food is pre-prepared and you choose 1, 2 or 3 dishes from the trays behind the counter. We went on a Saturday night and found the prices exp. for what you get: 7.50 for 1 item, 12.50 for 2 items and 15 for 3 items. I think it's cheaper on weekdays though. The food was cold, although they did re-heat it when we went back to complain. Was quite complicated with it unclear what was included and what wasn't, and contradictory pricing on the wall. Seemed to be quite a popular place though.
Pros: Generous portions
Cons: Food was cold, Expensive for what you get

Good Wholesome Food - Edit
Vegan me and my vegetarian partner had a midweek dinner here. There were maybe 8-10 options, at least half of which were vegan consisting of soups, stews (with tofu or seitan) and grains. Very wholesome which was a nice break after eating out for a few days. There were vegan desserts as well, but we opted vegan ice-cream at Stefino-Bio nearby instead.
Pros: Wholesome food, Yummy vegan options

Lots of Choice for Vegans - Edit
This is a great place with lots of choices for vegans, including desserts. You'll have to queue up, then, you decide whether you'll be having two items on your plate or three. The price varies accordingly, but it is excellent value.
As for the food, it is absolutely delicious, as well as healthy and varied.
Recommended.
Pros: Lots of choices, healthy, good value
Cons: cafeteria style eating, it's hidden inside a health centre

Tasty, fresh food - Edit
Ate here August 1st, 2011/ Fresh, flavorful & appetizing, cafeteria style restaurant serving %98 vegan food. My only critic would be the lack of fresh greens and atmosphere (due to it's cafeteria style setting).
Note: They close down every August for 2 weeks, so be sure to check their website before going. This year it was August 6th to the 21st.
Pros: Open Sundays for brunch, Fresh ingredients
Cons: Lack of fresh greens, Lack of cozy atmosphere, Closed for two weeks in August

delicious - Edit
Near the city center; I went there twice in the same week; they had plenty of choice and more vegan dishes than non vegan! They offer a formula to try two or tree dishes.
cafeteria style but very friendly atmosphere
Pros: delicious, vegan friendly, location

Cafeteria style, good food & reasonable - Edit
centrally located, it is a great stop when in the historical center. Food is varied depending on season, ample quantity, but they have this "subscription" fee that is added to the bill each time you go- unless you purchase a 6 months pass. it shares the building with a wellness center. Staff not the friendliest, ambiance a bit collegiate, but one eats well for the price.
Pros: centrally located, reasonable price, varied menu
Cons: staff not the warmest, location a bit hidden, ambiance collegiate
