would not go again

Was extremely disappointed by this place. The beet burgers were flavorless mush that fell apart while eating, and the gnocchi was spongy - like it had been frozen and thawed. Prices were high, portions were small, and service was so-so.

We inquired about a menu item and then said we didn't want it. It was brought to us and put on our bill, even though we clearly stated that we did not want it.

Pros: location

Cons: flavor, texture, price

Can't believe I missed out on this place for years

I have lived in Wheaton for a long time, and am accustomed to quickly scanning restaurant menus for the one item that they might be able to modify so that I can eat. I am both vegan and gluten-free, and there were probably 10 things I could eat. I am so excited to go back and try more things!

Tonight, I had the mushroom late and the beet burger (no bun). Even the potato salad is always vegan (they use Veganaise). Why can't all restaurants be like this???

Super friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. I can't say enough good things. Loved it!

Pros: Vegan options , Gluten free options, Top-notch, friendly staff

Cons: Expensive (but worth it!)

Excellent vegan choices

Cellar bistro marks it's menu with vegan/can be made vegan items. We tried the hummus plate, pizza flatbread, the veggie wrap, a pasta dish, and beet burgers. All were delicious! The service is great in this is a small quaint restaurant. With their robust vegan offerings, this is now our go to place in Wheaton to celebrate special occassions.

Great place for lunch

I went to lunch here recently with a few friends of mine and was pleasantly surprised that they offered many vegan options. I ordered the grilled veggie wrap and it was absolutely excellent. The atmosphere very elegant and relaxing. The wait staff was very nice. I'll definitely be returning.
