Can I have a vegan cheeseburger, please? - Edit
That's all you need to know. Their vegan cheeseburger is heaven and it's only 4£. Also, nice selection of other vegan treats and plenty of organic beers.

Cosy, great value, vegan-friendly AND open late! - Edit
CB1 seems to be more vegan-friendly every time I visit. It's very friendly in attitude too. With a real sense of being part of the Mill Road community, it's a great place to relax, see friends or study that's quite unique in Cambridge. They're often open late.
Read moreThe food is great value. Many of the ingredients are organic (soil association certified). The hot items/specials change fairly often, which is nice. Lately they have lots of vegan snacks/treats available. I like their coffee too (I'm very picky!).
Although overall it's cosy with comfy furniture, the downstairs seating area less so. It is a bit stark down there, and can be cold & dark in winter. I wish they could get more natural light in somehow. If they did that, and had an outdoor area for summer, CB1 would be perfect.
Pros: Cosy and friendly, Ethical sourcing of ingredients, Great value
Cons: Downstairs seating area is less nice, Dimly lit at times

Great cafe - largely vegan - Edit
CB1 is a homely cafe with a wall of books to browse and buy. The food is really nice and mainly vegetarian/vegan (but not entirely). Today the vegan choices were lentil burger and pesto with or without a salad plate, hummus salad plate, hummus, sun-dried tomato and olive sandwich, soup or curry - most of the food on offer really. The lentil burger was really tasty and salad nicely prepared with good dressing. There were no vegan cakes or desserts that I could see, though apparently there usually is. Nice to have another option for vegan lunch in Cambridge.

Awesome Place - Edit
This is a very cosy, laid back little cafe. Very comfortable and informal environment. With Wifi. And they display local artists' work in there, which is really great. They usually have at least one vegan lunch option and really great vegan deserts. Loved their falafels. The staff is really nice, too.
