Velbekomme - Edit

Seasonal fruit salad for dessert was quite uninspired, but the main course of sauteed eggplant with coconut was absolutely to die for!
Size might come off as small when served, but is just right.

I initially wanted to visit a nearby vegetarian restaurant, but food was already sold out at 18: 30 when I arrived, so decided to come here instead.

Staff is really sweet and speak an okay English. I hope to come back!

Pros: English menu and English-speaking staff

Cons: Expensive

Very Accomodating - Edit

Went here for dinner on August 30, 2017 on the recommendation of my Homestay. The service was outstanding and the food as, as well. The waitress was more than happy to ask the chef to veganize a few vegetarian items on the menu that we were interested in trying. I would like to have given 5 stars but the maximum amount allowable by HappyCow for a non-vegan establishment is 4.

Pros: able to veganize vegetarian menu choices, great service, outdoor seating

Cons: not fully vegan

Good food but very pricey! - Edit

I knew this place was going to be a bit more expensive than the other places we have been eating, but it was a lot more than I expected (110k for fresh spring rolls) and the portions for the main meals were very small. Me partner ordered grilled fish and it was literally just a small piece of fish. The food was really tasty though! I highly recommend the eggplant with coconut.

Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff

Cons: Pricey, Small portions

Great Find in An Bang - Edit

Absolutely loved this place. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.

I really enjoyed their smoothies, fruit plate and fresh juices as well as the spring rolls. Favorite was the baked Eggplant which is a large plate and comes with rice for only 40,000.

Pros: Vegan-Friendly, Moderate Prices, Great Staff

Big portions, vegetarian friendly - Edit

Cay Me has 2 locations of the same name on the same street. It does cost a bit more than the typical vege spot in Hoi An but their portions are much bigger. You will walk away feeling full. I absolutely love their Banh xeo chay and Papaya salad! If you order vegan or vegetarian, please make it clear you want no meat or animal products. They also make a lot of great meat dishes so they will not assume you want a certain dish make with just veggies. With that said, I love this place, I'm here all the time and would recommend.

Pros: big portions

Friendly, good quality food - Edit

Cay Me has made an effort to put a lot of interesting vegetarian dishes on the menu, and advertises "vegetarian food" on their lit-up sign on the main road near a cluster of hotels.
The restaurant has indoor seating and some outdoor seating under pretty shelters next to the quiet road.
The staff were all friendly and chatted to us about our trip, and seemed genuinely interested in making our meal enjoyable, how to appeal to vegetarian customers etc. They were happy to leave out milk and eggs from dishes where necessary.
We loved the fresh spring rolls with satay sauce and crispy tofu.
It is more expensive than the local chay cafes in town - around 100k dong for mains, but if you are staying in this area you save on taxi fares into town by eating here!

Pros: Many veg*an options, Very friendly

Cons: Serves meat
