Entirely vegan Italian located in the centre of the old town in Cagliari! Very friendly staff, and excellent vegan options. The cashew e Pepe and campidanese tricolour were both incredible! Would definitely go back!

I had a mixed salad, the tiramisu and a cappucchino. Everything was so tasty. The first time a had a vegan tiramisu that tasted exactly like the classic version. The stuff was very friendly so i highly suggest to support them as there are only very few places like that in Sardinia and we really want to keep them!

We had dinner here, two families (5x adults, 5x children ages 4-12). There was something for everybody and it was all sooo good! Great starters, burgers, meatballs, the oh so delicious pasta dishes and last but not least… the desserts. We ordered all of them, loved them all but the star of the show was definitely the cheesecake. Some of us (me) would describe eating it as an out of body experience.

We have some picky eaters among the children but they all loved their meals.
10/10 recommended, don’t miss this place.

I think this restaurant is NOT VEGAN! I think it is vegetarian! I am vegan and I was already irritated by the taste of the cheese. When I left the restaurant my stomach was hurting and I felt not good, a few hours later I had to [censored] like hell. Classic symptoms of lactose intolerance!

I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience! I just wanted to clarify: I’m from Cagliari and have eaten at Cavo many times since it first opened. I know the owners and even some people who have worked there (who are vegan and even activists), so I can assure you they don’t use any animal products. Perhaps something else might have upset your stomach?

Imaginative italian menu with the most beautiful brushetta I ever did see (and taste!) . The cashew creme spaghetti was a cheezy creamy delight, the gnocchi gorgeous and the other pasta thingy with saffron was very rich. Son had the burger, massive with curly fries and hurrah, vegan mayo. Damn, too full for dessert- planning another trip into cagliari just to go back for pudding 😍

During my short stay in Cagliari, I visited Cavo Bistrot twice. It was the cheesecake that made me go back for a second visit. The bruschettone was interesting, too, but the other dishes I tried were average in taste for an extraordinary price.

This is definitely the place you have to go to when in Cagliari! The restaurant has a super cosy atmosphere and the staff is very welcoming and friendly.

The menu offers various options and we tried the traditional sardinian pasta and the creamy one and all I can say is that both were probably the best pasta I've ever eaten!
The dessert are definitely worth a try as well, both the "vegamisu" but also the salted caramel cheesecake.
Although the prices are a bit high, the portions are quite big so that's worth it!

Read moreWe shared fried mushrooms with different mayo dips (15€), a big mixed salad, very nice with tofu, v-chicken and many colorful veggies (16€) and bruschetta, two slices, nicely garnished with different toppings (16€). We weren’t that hungry, so this was more than enough for us.
With coke, beer and water we paid ~ 63,50€ (~2€ Corpetto, as usual in Italy). Fried mushrooms especially (a small tapas-sized bowl), but also bruschetta were a bit overpriced in my opinion.
Nevertheless it was very yummy, the waitresses were very friendly and they also welcomed our dog.

What a great vegan place in the heart of Cagliari. Sardinia, Italy!!! The owner and his staff were so friendly and happy to give you recommendations for drinks and food! There were plenty of places to sit and eat, both inside and out! I tried their gnocchi which was make with some bolognese, mozzarella and porcini mushrooms . So good! My wife tried the bruschetta that started with a butternut squash layer then added balls of mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, and porcini mushrooms! Yummy! A must try if you’re vegan or not!
