Cheap food in the NL 🙏 - Edit
Take away food or eat in (very few tables). The food comes in boxes, you can choose the size. A big sized box is more than enough for 2 people, which makes is very affordable.

Little gem of a place with many vegan options - Edit
A bit hidden in the centre of Maastricht, you can find this little gem.
Read moreThey have lots of vegan options so just ask at the counter. There isn’t really a menu and it probably changes daily.
Friendly and helpful staff that will explain the menu to you. They are knowledgeable about veganism.
It used to be take away only but now they have a few tables if you want to eat in.
The prices are really reasonable too!
Will definitely come back!

Take away, veel vegan opties. Zeer scherp van prijs. Ik had de vegan salade en een dahl met aardappelen als basis. 2 keer van kunnen eten. Lekker!

Cato by cato has a lot of vegan options for a very student friendly price! You can choose a base (rice, potatoes, bulgur, couscous and other stuff) and a topping (dahl, different kinds of curry and other stuff). Ideal for a luxe lunch or a lazy dinner. Also owner is a really friendly man :)

Once again I went to Cato by Cato today. All options were vegan this time. Amazing spinach pesto. Also took the beetroot pumpkin one. The owner told me the pumpkin was cooked for so long it got a peach texture, simply amazing and very affordable 🤤

Amazing food for a great price! I've had their food multiple times and not once have I tried something from there I didn't enjoy. There are new food options everyday and, while they serve meat, there is always multiple vegan options and the staff can advise you on what is vegan and what's not.
Read moreThe portions are huge and super filling, you can get a lot of food for a little over 5€, so it's definitely a good place for a student budget.
There's no seating, it's takeaway only.
Would give it 5 stars if I could.
