Great vegan food - Edit
They have their own separate vegan menu including starters, mains and deserts. They have a menu for meat eaters too so there are choices for everyone. As a previous review said, it is a bit expensive. Had a lovely vegan banana sticky toffee pudding.

At the time of writing things have improved here for vegans. There's now a dedicated vegan menu with a choice of starters, mains & desserts. On previous visits there were limited vegan opinions ie. the usual veg curry & pasta dish and no vegan dessert.
Read moreOn this visit I chose the veg skewers and my friend had the onion bhaji burger with chips. My meal should have included vegan feta as an element but it didn't appear on the plate. This didn't bother me though as it's not the most healthy of things to eat so I never mentioned it to the waitress. Both of us agreed the food was tasty. The banana sticky toffee pudding was very nice served with vegan ice-cream 😋
Prices were a little on the high side for what you get but the restaurant does cater to meat eaters too, so it's the sort of place you can get a meal for all tastes.
I gave 4 stars purely because of the separate vegan menu.

Vegan Tasting Evening! - Edit
I had wanted to dine at Catch 22 Brasserie for a long time, and when I saw their Vegan Tasting Evening advertised, I knew that was a perfect opportunity to go. As a restaurant that serves meat Catch 22 have been running numerous tasting evenings over winter and I am SO thrilled that they hosted a vegan one and I am even more thrilled to report that the restaurant was packed full of vegans and meat eaters attending the event.
Read moreThe tasting evening menu included a mix of vegetable and mock-meat based dishes and contained a mix of international flavours with a particular emphasis on Japanese cuisine. My favourite dish of the evening was the 'Butternut Squash Taco' as it had a nice balance of textures and was beautifully seasoned. I was impressed by the 'Tuna Nigiri' as they used a thinly sliced watermelon in place of fish on the sushi, and it tasted fantastic. I was also impressed with the 'Miso Cauliflower Steak' as it was again wonderfully seasoned, and it had a shockingly meaty texture. There were also vegan drinks available, and I enjoyed a lovely glass of 'Padrera Monastrell' (red wine).
The tasting evening ran smoothly as staff were on the ball and were very attentive. The senior staff were particularly personable and took a great interest in the customers by opening up dialogue about vegan cuisine. Catch 22 has had multiple excellent vegan options on their menus over the years, and the front of the house and kitchen staff are clearly well informed and interested in vegan dining. It is, therefore, disappointing to see their new menu only includes one vegan starter, one vegan main, and one vegan dessert.
I would definitely dine at Catch 22 Brasserie again, and a member of staff mentioned they are going to run another Vegan Tasting Evening at the end of the year. As their new menu has so few vegan options, I highly recommend looking at the menu before dining at the restaurant. Catch 22 has an active social media presence, so I suggest following their socials for updates on future vegan events and dishes and I also recommend booking before going as they are a very popular restaurant on Ynys Môn. Delicious vegan and vegetarian mains - Edit
First time eating here and pleased to see 2 veggie and 2 vegan main options. The broccoli, speak spinach and feta Greek style pie was delicious coming with a hot pouring cream and went well with the red coleslaw. Husband had the roast cauliflower and pea curry with jasmine rice and flat breads. Both perfectly cooked and just the right amount. The Snickers trifle was gorgeous but too much for just one person. I did finish it tho' 🥴. Nice atmosphere, good service. Will definitely return.

What a great restaurant from the staff to the menu to the interior. Wasn’t expecting such a fabulous place along the ferry route to Holyhead, what a gem in Holyhead. Loads of delicious vegan options on the menu and very friendly, informed and helpful staff to make vegan adjustments to loads of other dishes.

Love Catch22! Being intolerant to wheat, dairy and eggs as well as Vegan this is one of the only places on the island where I can choose from more than one thing on the menu! Staff are also lovely and helpful

Full Vegan Menu 😀 - Edit
You will not be disappointed with Catch 22. I love the place. I’ve have been dining here since the day they opened and have watched the menu grow into what it is today. As soon as they introduced the vegan spag bol I tried it....it was awesome, now they have a full vegan menu & vegan desert menu too 😋
