Great! - Edit

all-vegan, very tasty, big portions and nice service! We tried 7 different dishes and each one of them was delicious and different in flavor. Unlike most of the Vietnamese places here in Berlin, which use few cheap ingredients in bulk for every dish - rucola, peppers etc., Cat Tuong had a nice variety of hearty, fresh veggies, mushrooms and herbs in every meal. On one of the boards was written that they use organic ingredients (not 100% but i hope at least all the soy products). They also state that they don't use glutamate and additives.
The Mi Quang soup is probably the best coconut-curry soup i've had in Berlin!
I'll be back soon, have to try everything on the menu :))
*would be great if they reconsider their no-tap-water policy

Pros: delicious & healthy, big portions, nice service

Cons: no tap water is served (only bottles for 3.50E)

Delicious food at reasonable prices! - Edit

All-vegan place with a good selection of food. Highly recommend the spicy soup (actually pretty mild, but full of flavor), and the lime tea with ginger and agave.

Delicious and Flavorful - Edit

We came here our last night in Berlin and it was a great way to end the trip. I ordered a coconut milk curry soup with vegetables, tofu, and rice noodles and it was incredibly flavorful and delicious. My friend also really enjoyed her udon noodle stir fry with tofu and vegetables. We would definitely want to return here to try more of the menu.

Pros: Large portions for price, Flavorful, Food served warm and quickly

REALLY GOOD SUMMER ROLLS - Edit

Went here on a really warm night at the beginning of August. We arrived around 8pm and there was space for me and my boyfriend to sit on an individual table outside which was very nice. The other seating spaces were benches and a couple of other individual tables outside.

We had summer rolls to start with a peanut sauce - the waitress kindly advised us against a plate of summer rolls each and that was very good advice! They were really good and perfect size for one each.

I then had an udon noodle dish which was very nicely presented but a bit lacking in taste - I added sriracha. My boyfriend had the caramelised tofu dish with mushrooms which was very good, although it was hard to tell a difference with the tofu.

Would definitely come back and try something else. It was very reasonably priced and we both had a really nice meal.

Pros: Reasonably priced, Good portions, Nice ambience

Cons: Noodle dish a bit tasteless

Nice food - Edit

Went for dinner here with a friend. Had the watermelon smoothie from the specials board which was really nice - dinner was a bit harder to pick as the place isn't very gluten-free friendly (and beware coeliacs, the menu has allergen coding on, but if the dish contains seitan they don't bother using the 'g' code as they think the menu speaks for itself so read carefully before ordering). Also had the banana rice thingy for dessert, not what I expected but really nice. Staff were nice and helpful. Would definitely come back.

Pros: Good food, Good service

Cons: Not many gluten-free options

Authentic, light, healthy and full of flavour - Edit

Visited Cat Tuong on the first day of a 5 day trip in Berlin. Order the gyoza and summer rolls to start, and then the fried rice noodles for main. Absolutely perfect from beginning to end, the peanut sauce that is served with the summer rolls is incredible. Me and my brother literally licked the bowl clean. Bottle of Sauvignon blanc at 16€ too I thought was reasonable. Nice service, helped us decipher the specials board that was in German.

A good Vietnamese restaurant - Edit

I had dinner with some friends and we enjoyed our meal. I had dumplings and a soup, both being very tasty. I really liked the flavours and would like to come back again for sure. Portions were fair and the prices a bit higher than in other vegan place in Berlin, but I think it worth the try. We spent a very nice evening even if the restaurant was a bit crowded. I recommend to book a table before going. Be aware that prices do not include the service...

Pros: 100% vegan, tasty food

Cons: can be crowded, prices do not include service

Do Not Miss! - Edit

One of my favourites in Berlin, which is saying something. The food was universally amazing, and it was packed, not surprisingly. Rice paper rolls were some of the most unique and tasty I've ever had. Pho was super yummy, incredibly flavourful. Udon Noodle dish also hit the spot. Every other dish that was delivered to a table looked amazing. Go, you won't be disappointed.

Pros: Big portions, Fair pricing

Amazing - Edit

All the dishes we tried were delicious and it was great being able to go to a Vietnamese restaurant where everything was Vegan and there wasn't the risk of hidden shrimp paste or fish sauce. Well worth the tram or U-bahn trip out of the Berlin centre.

Pros: Authentic tasting without fish sauce or shrimp pas, Friendly staff

Cons: They don't take credit card

Lovely vietnamese place - Edit

Me and my boyfriend were walking around Berlin and decided to try Cat Tuong restaurant. We've been to a few vietnamese restaurants before, so we decided to see how this one's food tastes.
We ordered different kinds of noodles, both with tofu and veggies. It was delicious, but not really I-will-fall-of-my-chair delicious, if you know what I mean. Maybe it was because we ate the same things at so many other places before or we should have ordered a more specific dish, not just the normal noodles.
Anyway, the staff was friendly, it looked like a family of mother and a few sons. Really lovely ambient inside too!

Cat Tuong is a lovely small vietnamese restaurant and 100% vegan. I had the Pho Cary consisting of a red curry with coconut milk, tofu, seitan, veggies and rice noodles. The portion was huuuuuge and delicious!
