Keeps getting better - Edit
I love the atmosphere of this place. The food is so fresh and yummy, and they have the best donuts ever. My favorite flavor is the French Toast one, and I get one every time I’m there. In terms of entree, I tend to opt for the special because I can rarely decide what to order. They offer both the Impossible Burger and the Beyond Meat Burger, but they also have a house beet burger that is also good. There are so many options to meet any person’s taste.
Read moreSometimes the service takes a bit but that’s because the restaurant is always popping with customers. I wish they had longer hours, but lunch is always amazing.
They now have a market where you can buy assorted vegan products like Just Egg, Cashew’s own Cashew Cheese, vegan jerky, and pies. They also have merch from Herbivore Clothing in Portland.
Pros: DONUTS, Speedy service, Gelato
Cons: Limited seating

Amazing Vegan Eats - Edit
We had an amazing experience at Cashew! The novelty of being able to order anything off the menu aside (which is amazing in itself), everything else was great, as well. The portions were huge, the food was delicious, and the desserts were some of the best vegan desserts I've had (and I've sampled a lot!). We actually went there twice, and the friendly staff even remembered us the second time and welcomed us back. Every dish we had was wonderful, and the ambiance is great, as well as the proximity to the park. Highly recommended!

At long last - Edit
I’ve been wanting to go to Cashew for months now and we finally made the trip from Knoxville. I love the ambiance of the restaurant. I got the breakfast pizza with salad and it was so good. It was filling but we also got the cookie jar gelato and peanut butter cheesecake. That’s probably one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had- pre veg days included. Worth the wait!

Wonderful - Edit
I came to eat lunch and pick up dinner, as I was traveling through Chattanooga. I went with the special (a breakfast scramble nacho plate) and a hot chai. The chai was PERFECTION (was it Bhakti?), it was piping hot and a bit spicy, and I loved it. The nacho plate was also delicious. To go, I got a Philly cheese steak, and a 1/2 Thai sweet potato side, with a truffle and a chocolate chip cookie. The sandwich and sweet potato were delicious, even hours later and warmed by microwave. The truffle was good, but not great, and the cookie was just ok. They had an amazing-looking array of sweets that I could have chosen, so I probably just didn't choose wisely. There were chocolate banana cupcakes that were calling my name, but they were humongous, pricey, and I wasn't sure if they would travel well. The donuts also looked amazing. Hope there's a next time so that I can try more! Their menu was diverse and unusual, so that alone is a great reason to come try the food!

Out of this non vegan world - Edit
This place was ridiculously delicious and far exceeded my expectations. I had the buffalo bowl and my husband had the impossible burger with chili. We shared nachos. Everything was delicious. I wish I lived closer so I could go all the time. We took a jelly donut and black bean brownie to go, both were tasty but the donut was extra delicious. I should add my husband is not vegan and raved about this place for days.

While driving all day, I found this restaurant and we had a great lunch. Our dogs were able to stretch a bit and sit with us in their little outdoor deck. I had the Buffalo Bowl which had a little spice and a great combo of flavors. My wife enjoyed the Beyond Burger. Great find!

INCREDIBLE Food - Edit
Cashew is one of the best plant-based restaurants in the Chattanooga area. The variety on the menu gives you options from Italian to Mexican style flavors. Their daily specials are always worth a try, and their cashew cheese is amazing! The garlicky kale is hands-down the best thing on their menu!

I’m just visiting in Tennessee and was worried about finding a place to eat around here that could possibly have some options. This place was awesome! Right next to the walking bridge from downtown. They have delicious baked goods, doughnuts, kombucha, and vegan slogan clothing.

Cashew is a great restaurant! The prices are fair and serving portions large! The food is delicious and fresh tasting. Lots of flavor! The service is fast, friendly and attentive. Great location right next to the river, makes for a hip fun destination. I was only visiting TN but heard that this is a good place to eat, it did not disappoint!

Great - Edit
Really good food and friendly staff. Clean dining room and facilities.
Read moreWe had a buffalo bowl and a wrap that was on special. I was expecting the kind of bland brown rice and Kale bowl that you often find at vegan cafes but this was really seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The wrap was great too. We also had a slice of cake that was really good. Nice to find vegan cake that's not gluten free or made of pure nuts and coconut.

amazing food and service - Edit
I highly recommend Cashew if you are visiting Chattanooga. I went for lunch last weekend with my husband and our dog. They have a small porch that is dog friendly. Right away they brought out a bowl of water for my dog. We ordered the southwest sweet potato, chips and Cashew cheese, and the special that day, which was a savory waffle. Everything was delicious. Be sure to try their house made Cashew cheese. We got doughnuts to go- chocolate and maple, and they were both fantastic. The restaurant is on the north shore in a really cool part of the city. It's a short walk to the walnut street bridge, which is a pedestrian bridge crossing the Tennessee River.
