Probably still the best in all of Asturia, though - Edit
Messaged on WhatsApp ahead of time to book a table for the following day (it seems they’re fully booked on many evenings so do reserve) and ask about vegan options. Except for a chocolate gelato there aren’t actually any vegan dishes on the menu but they offered to do the following off-menu: tomato carpaccio, leek casserole, mushrooms and potatoes, and some kind of vegetable wok. We got the first three, the carpaccio was finely executed while tasting nothing special, and the other two dishes were pretty bland. The dessert though was truly spirit-lifting, it was a chocolate lava cake (murerte por chocolate) with raspberry sorbet.
Read moreAfter spending a week and a half near the Picos I can say this is one of the only places you can get a vegan meal with some effort put into it. I would love to see them embrace that more and develop some creative (and tastier) vegan options into their actual menu, they’re definitely capable of it!
