Good food but pricey - Edit
Very nice staff. We had hummus, potatoes, mushroom dish, edamame, a beer and a fruit punch - all very tasty and good presentation. Small plates of course and gets expensive. Lovely little place though.

They don't share my understanding of vegan - Edit
This would be a great place to eat in Sai Kung. One of the only ones that clearly labels vegan food.
I was really happy to see it. Fortunately they have an open kitchen so you can see how they prepare the food. Unfortunately they prepare all the different meat, fish and vegan dishes on the same big hotplate. They clean off the last dish they prepared with a scraper, but that's it.
So basically half the juices of the last dish stay behind for your vegan food to cook in.
I just don't like this kind of cross contamination of my food. I want them to at least try to clean things up. Some restaurants even have completely separate utensils for preparing the vegan food!
They do tell you this if you ask, which is nice. Doesn't help much though. This also makes me question how well they check other ingredients to be vegan (like vinegar, bread etc). This part is just speculation though.
That said, they do have some dishes that come cold and are not prepared on the bbq/hot plate. I had those and they were small portions, but tasted good.
I haven't been back since then though, cause the one thing I need in a restaurant (even more since becoming vegan) is trust. With them not caring how things are cooked in the open, I just can't trust them with the other food either.
A friend did contact the owner and he is aware of these problems. He is also kinda ok with them at the moment and doesn't really see any reason to change anything.
So for me personally this restaurant does not qualify as vegan. They should label things "99% vegan". That would send the right message to real vegans and people who are just into the healthy eating aspect should be happy as well.
At the current state, this just feels like being cheated on.
Cons: Vegan labeled food isn't prepared vegan

Decent selection of veg/vegan food for a restaurant - Edit
All the dishes I ordered were vegan and quite tasty, though a little too salty and oily. The restaurant is also quite expensive which is a shame considering the composition of vegan dishes isn't pricey. I think the vegan menu could do to be expanded and made a little bit more creative. There are very few protein-based dishes and most veg is over fried and salted. Nonetheless good for socialising/sharing food. Also, a lot of the vegetarian dishes could actually be made vegan.
Pros: Decent selection, Tapas style, Nice interiors/good for socialising
Cons: Expensive, Too oily/salty, Dishes a bit too simplistic

Great Food, Very Popular - Edit
My favourite is the marinated portobello mushrooms. They have a wide selection of vegan and vegetarian tapas which are very tasty. They have a great wine selection, really good craft beers changed up regularly, and great homemade ginger ale and cola. (Don't drink the cola in the evening. You'll be awake all night.) Order something as soon as you arrive. It takes a while to get the first orders to your table but everything seems to flow after that. It's not cheap but it's very good quality food.
Pros: Great Quality and Selection of Tapas, Tons of Vegan Tapas, Really good wines and beers
Cons: Service a bit slow, Slightly on the pricey side, Alcohol not served outside.
