Secluded, vegan friendly guesthouse - Edit
Off-grid with all the mod cons, on the edge of the Pyrenees.
Read moreAbatexte has a small but well equipped gym and a games room, there are nice (if a little challenging) walking loops that start at the guesthouse.
The host can provide excellent, vegan, home made breakfasts and evening meals if given a little notice, much of the produce comes straight from the vegetable garden, but there is also a fully equipped kitchen if you want to prepare your own meals.
Pros: Excellent homemade vegan meals, Close to Bilbao & Saint-Sébastien, Friendly welcome

Lovely stay in the Basque mountains - Edit
We stayed 5 days at this lovely b&b where we were welcomed by a wonderful, relaxed host. Every day we enjoyed the excellent vegetarian breakfasts (local apple juice, local cheese, several jams, yummy omelette, homemade yoghurt etc. A vegan option is also possible).

Pizza with broccoli base, sautéed artichokes, vegan meatballs in a tomato sauce, baked seitan with ratatouille vegetables ... this is only a selection of possible choices on the menu. It was the best meal we had during our holidays 😊
