Amazing food - Edit
Wish I could leave the place 5 stars because the food was amazing and the owners were very welcoming and accommodating. Plenty of vegan options on the menu. You can have vegan lasagne but this must be pre ordered a day in advance.

Very tasty vegan options! - Edit
Several new vegan or easily veganised (no parmesan) dishes. All really tasty, and with the option of 3 different home made vegan pastas there is plenty to choose from if you’re staying for a while - you choose which pasta you want with the sauce, only the tagliatelle is made with eggs. Lasagne needs a days notice but they are happy to make it with soya milk and crushed macadamia nuts on top if you ask for vegan. Silvia and Mark, the Italian couple who run the place are very knowledgeable about vegan needs and the waitresses understand your requests. Their staff menu has the vegan/vegan-isable dishes marked although this is not on the customer menu yet. I was here a few years ago as a vegetarian and loved the food then, but was delighted to return as a vegan to find several new options to choose from, including apple pastries and 4 sorbet flavours for desserts. They are considering offering soya milk with their coffees if the demand is there so there may be even more options in the future. This is a very great wee Lodge with a wooded campsite and a veranda looking over Zomba town and towards Mount Mulanje.

Best Italian food in Africa! - Edit
I camped here ($10/night) and had an incredible dinner at the restaurant. The gnocchi is vegan, and I had that with mixed vegetables in tomato sauce. There are various things that can be veganized and the owners are knowledgeable on a vegan diet. They also had a grapefruit sorbet that was vegan. I would highly recommend this place.
