Our favourite in the area so far as far as vegan options go. Vegan poutine, kimchi fries and vegan caesar salad all tasty! The location is so beautiful, and they have swings, games and a janky tree house for kids-mine loved it and I could chat with friends while they played!

This place has live music most nights and is next to a river. Good food and menu that tells you what is vegan. I got the vegan Caesar salad and a smoothie - yum!

We ate twice at Rio Negro and really enjoyed it there. We had the burger and the pizza, which were both really tasty. There was no vegan cheese on the pizza but it didn't detract as it had plentiful tasty toppings. The fries are also excellent. I failed to take a pic of the burger. The staff (and I believe may have been the owner) were really friendly, and it had a nice vibe. If you choose a table near to the water, be warned, there are cockroaches that appear after dark, but the tables closer to the road were fine.

The vegan pizza and vegan bowls are really tasty, and the coffee is really high quality, the owner is extremely friendly and was chatting to us for a while and explained that he sources it directly from an independent coffee farm in CR. Saw he went around to the other customers to chat to them too. The setting is beautiful too surrounded by trees near the river. He even helped us get home by offering to call a tuktuk and giving us the numbers of two different tuktuk drivers to use.

This place saved me after getting done with a tour late and most other places being closed. They served me dinner at 9:45p. So grateful. The staff gave great recommendations and the menu was clearly marked. The vegan burger was super tasty.

I had the vegan bowl, I was super happy with it, very tasty. I also had the vegane organic brownie with local chocolate, I couldn't be happier. Maybe they could have more vegan options but maybe if you ask they could offer you something more

Cute atmosphere. We had a couple adorable cats relaxing around the property which is always a plus for me. I had the vegan bowl which was a salad with falafel and this amazing passion fruit sauce on it. My sis had to vegan burger. We enjoyed both. They also had a vegan curry dish and vegan pizza. Their soda come from a glass bottle rather than plastic. 👌🏼

Fun restaurant on the side of the road with the rainforest around it. Owner/Server was friendly and accommodating to explain all the vegan options. She said they had more vegan menu items coming soon. The green juice was delicious. There were dart frogs hopping around in the woods right next to the restaurant which was awesome!

I went there with my non-vegan boyfriend. We shared a Guacamole as an appetizer which was very good. I had the vegan burger as a main dish. Also very tasty. It did not cost so much and I was full afterwards. To my boyfriend the size of the meal could have been bigger but for me it was perfect.

Read moreShe had the fish of the day and I had their homemade lentil vegan burger plus their salad (minus the goats cheese).
Although the fish was overcooked and the burger - like any other burger and fries - were heavy in the stomach, the flavours were good. The service (owners?) were very sweet. Overall it wouldn’t be my first choice as a vegan but can recommend it if your stuck for a place to eat.

Greeted by Cesar the owner, we were told about the array of vegan options available. Even when throwing the curve ball of no nightshades he just smiled and adapted all his recipes to fit us. A rare exception on our trip so far.
