Comida boa e preço justo

Buffet de saladas e pratos do dia. O buffet é bem vasto e a comida boa e farta. Para o meu gosto usam muitos temperos indianos.

Pros: Buffet de saladas. Porções fartas. Preço justo.

Cons: Temperos indianos.

Culinary highlight

I visited Cafe Veredas three times, partly because it stayed open nice and late. It was out the back of a shop with tables set up in nice green surroundings. First time I came I had the mushroom quiche (R$39) and a main-sized Flora da Vida salad (R$24). The salad was light but interesting enough and the quiche was delicious and went well with it. We came back another evening and tried two varieties of pizza, one mushroom (R$35) and one sun-dried tomato (R$35) and these were also very good. Finally I tried the falafel burger and an açai smoothie. The food was consistently fantastic, with a varied menu in beautiful surroundings. A culinary highlight of São Paulo.

Great food in a laid back atmosphere

I have lunch here once or twice a week. Relaxing atmosphere, especially if you get a table in the garden. Open salad bar with many options and the choice of two main meals per day are very tasty.

oasis in the city

Amazing venue and vibe - very chilled. Unfortunately we arrived shortly before closing so couldn’t sample the full menu but tried the soy pasties which were delicious.

Great Vegan option!!

During lunch, the table where the salad is available is very well served. They have a wide variety of options, and the maionese is amazing! The veggies are organic. 💚
Although, the lunch dishes are disappointing. They are not well served and could be tastier.
The desserts are unbelivably tasty. Just amazing.
They have a dinner during other times of the day, and everything is very good!!!

Delicious, especially for Brazil

Note that if the name of the restaurant really still is the Nectare, this is not prominent at all. As mentioned in the description, it's part of the Espaço Eco-Cultural Casa Jaya (a place with the typical things like yoga that get associated with veganism) and is easier to find on maps and from the street by using the Casa Jaya name. The food was really fantastic. I ate a lot more than I planned because each thing was so nice, especially various little balls and cones of things in pastry. They seemed to be versions of typical Brazilian things that I normally wouldn't be able to try. Brazilian food is so bland in general, but while the things here weren't full-on spicy they had a really moreish kick to them. I sat in the area at the front where you pay, but there is also a garden at the back next to the kitchen. It was all perfect. All vegans visiting the city must go here immediately. Don't even bother to unpack first.

Pros: All vegan, Delicious, Not bland like most food in Brazil

Relaxing Atmosphere, Tasty Food

I visited The Nectare on a recent trip to Brazil (March 2015) and was very impressed with the food and the atmosphere. The entrance is through a garden, and they have another garden in the back. I had the buffet lunch which was excellent, although the selection was a bit more limited than some of the other vegetarian restaurants in Sao Paulo (although everything is vegan at The Nectare). My dining partner ordered one of the two daily specials (the oriental veggie wrap in rice paper) and it was also delicious. I will return on my next trip to Sao Paulo, both for the great food as well as the wonderful relaxing atmosphere.

Pros: Tasty food, Reasonable price, Garden dining

Disappointed

First of all, I would like to say that I've been there once, at night, to try the ''pizzada''. I was told that this was an ''all-you-can-eat''mode, but it is a little different. There are many pizza's flavours, but you have to pay for each piece you choose. Ok, this was the first disappointment. Then, about the taste... It's not bad, but it is not as good as I've already tried in other places, and the service was slow (we had to wait much time from one piece to another). The last item is the price. It is expensive (R$6,00 for each piece) and the sizes of the pizzas are differents, but the costs are the same. Strange.

Although my first experience was not good, I wanna return to try the lunch options. In addition, the place is really beautiful and the staff friendly.

Updated from previous review on Sunday August 24, 2014

I've been there again during lunch time and concluded that the food is overrated. Although the salad buffet is generous, the hot dishes are tasteless.

Pros: Beatiful enviroment, Friendly staff, Well located

Cons: Price, Taste, Parking

Good price

I've just tried their snacks, which are definetely delicious. They have a variety of options, including vegetables quiches, Brazilian "tapioca", vegan kibes, vegan burguers, vegan "coxinha" and more. They also offer desserts, such as cocoa cake (totally vegan), and natural juices. The price is very good and the atmosphere evokes peace and tranquility.

Yum yum yum

We dropped by this place on a Wednesday evening (11.6.14) before a few drinks. There were quite a few people relaxing while waiting for a class (of chanting young people) to end then it became busy with them getting vegan snacks to satisfy their hunger. Like everywhere in Brazil the staff was amazingly helpful and tried to translate their menu into english even though everything was vegan. We felt terrible that we couldn't speak Portuguese and it was them asking us how to pronounce certain words in english. Me and my partner split their chickpea burger and soya burger, both the patties had a lovely fresh and home made flavour. Then we shared a leek quiche which was so nice and creamy. Because we were travelling the next day we took two pastries to save the usual 'what do you think is in that? oh lets just eat crisps'. They were fantastic cold so can only imagine they would improve when warm.

Pros: Quality food, Lovely garden, Amazing staff

Cons: none
