Pide pan.

Change in ownership. New, reduced menu - Edit
(Español mas abajo)
Read moreThe bar has changed owners and with it, they have changed their menu. The new menu is much more limited for vegans and as of June 2025 it only includes two vegan dishes: a tomato salad with mint and peanuts, and a miso roasted aubergine.
The food quality was great though and we really enjoyed both dishes, but they are not very filling and seeing their previous menu we were a bit disappointed.

Super friendly waitress. Advised on vegetarian and vegan options. Went due for lentil burger to ensure my protein. Totally vegan. There was also a really good looking goats cheese and pepper and cabbage Salad and grilled vegetables. Gorgeous outdoor terrace d in kiwi trees.

I ordered a vegan burger and it was so delicious, my non vegan friends ordered the famous octopous and it was delicious too! The owner even came to explain me how she made the burguer. They also have gluten free bread for the burguers. Very confy and good vibes

Fantastico!! - Edit

Homemade burgers - Edit
The burgers were huge - and the bread was really good. However the bread was slightly too big for the burgers - which made them a bit dry. The grilled veggie side dish with avocado sauce however was really good! Normally the burgers are cheaper - but this year (due to Covid) she charges 6 euros for them.

Veg friendly point in Melide - Edit
Not bad, not bad. Among the veg options are homemade burger and grilled vegetables, something else. Enjoyed the first.

One of our favourite memories of the Camino - Edit
Found Casa Alongos on Happy Cow when we arrived in Melide. Our expectations weren't high but we ended up having delicious food and an amazing time.
Read moreThe owner was unbelievably friendly, warm and welcoming with a fantastic sense of humour. She joined us for a while and gave us lemon liqueur at the end of our meal.
The evening ended up being one of our favourite memories of the Camino de Santiago.
I don't remember what we ate but just let them know you are vegan and they will be able to let you know what you can have.
Overall, a fantastic experience.
Pros: Great atmosphere, Friendly staff, Tasty food
Cons: Serves meat, Not a huge vegan selection
