Traveling food car, based for most of the day on Praça José Mendes Junior, one block south of Praça da Liberdade. Then it goes to other locations - check website for location updates. Food is vegan except for the gnocchi. Expect feijoada, lasagna, veggie hot dogs and other vegan snacks. Sunday special menu. Open Mon-Sun 12:00pm-6:00pm.

I ate once and the food was not good, it wasn't fresh, tasted like yesterday food. The staff was very rude to me.

Friendly vegetarian (mostly vegan) food truck with multiple locations. Check their Facebook page for posts on where they will be/parties/etc.
Nearly everything is vegan, and the food is GREAT. Prices are good, too.
Our group ordered multiple different things and then shared. The feijoada was OK, and I thought the bacalhoada was the best. Tropeiro was 2nd best.
They bring a few stools with them for seating, but locations are usually near public areas/parks, so just find a good spot and enjoy the food!
Pros: No meat, Friendly, Inexpensive
Cons: 1 non-vegan dish. Seriously?

This place is an amazing asset to the city... it's reliably located one block south of Plaça da Liberdade most of the day, then usually goes over to the Architectural School a few blocks over and then to the nightclub area in Savassi. Just check the Facebook for updates, which they seem to post daily and on the go. Emphasis on comfort foods and traditional dishes that other similar food cars sell, delicious feijoada and tasty pasta and salted cod dishes. Hot dogs too. Support this little vehicle!
Pros: Stays around till late, Filling comfort food, Friendly and cool
Cons: Can be hard to track down, Car leaves when supplies are gone
