Best on the island - Edit
I had the vegan crepe twice, it was really fresh and tasty. The « vanilla » ice cream wasn’t great though. It’s difficult to find good (vegan) food on this island so I was happy to find this place.

meh - Edit
it was okay but the crepe i asked for to be vegan and it came out with the feta so i had to ask again for it to be made vegan which is okay but they were not very apologetic or nice about it and actually it wasn’t very tasty at all, i added salt and pepper and some hot sauce but without it was bland

Best vegan food on Caye Caulker - Edit
This is by far the best vegan meal we had on Caye Caulker. The food is very fresh. If you eat whole food plant based, meals are hard to find on Caye Caulker. Most vegan options at the restaurants on the island are deep fried or coated in oil. The vegan crepe here was delicious and loaded with fresh veggies and chickpeas. The crepe itself if made from garbanzo, fava, rice, and potato flours, so it’s gluten free too. They also have a couple of vegan breakfast options, salads, quinoa bowls, and vegan desserts!

2,5 stars - has options but nothing special - Edit
We can confirm this place is still open but may have moved, the address is Avenida Hicaco. They offer quite a few veggie and vegan options, and even mention which can be made vegan. We had the veggie skewers with a garden salad and peanut satay sauce. The grilled veggies were nice as was the sauce, but it would have been more filling with rice as a side. They told us they don't serve rice. We also had the vegan version of the savory crepe which was okay but needed sauce and wasn't as described in the menu. It came with hummus that had A LOT of black pepper.

Abbreviated menu? - Edit
I was really excited to eat here because the menu I saw at my Airbnb had several vegan and gluten-free items, but the menu I got in the restaurant didn’t have many options. The gluten-free crepes were nutritious and filling but not terribly well-seasoned. The coffee was good and the art was interesting.

vegan and gluten free - Edit
Gluten free and vegan! The food was so good the first time, we had to return. We choose to eat plant based but I have to eat gluten free. The gluten free vegan crepes are amazing! The chef even made gluten free banana pancakes for me on our second visit. We will return yet again.

Expensive - Edit
After reading all the good reviews we went to the cafe for lunch. I had the vegan nirvana bowl (18$) and my boyfriend the pita pizza (18$). The bowl came with pineapple dressing, which was actually really good. In the menu it says, that the bowl comes with quinoa and brown rice. Well in my bowl there was no rice at all. After asking the unfriendly service lady just told me, that the cook said that there is no brown rice (normally this is something that's supposed to be told during the ordering process). The rest of the bowl was vegetables and apples (which still had parts of the unchewable cores). The chickpeas came without any flavor, so that the whole bowl just tasted very bland. The pita pizza also didn't seem to have a pinch of salt in it. For this price I would have expected much more and was therefore very disappointed. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant.

This is a little gem of a cafe in CC. Healthy options for veggies and vegans, clearly labelled and a welcomed change from the usual vegetarian fare available in CC.

Had the breakfast burrito and granola. Tasted good. - Edit
But I didn’t have the feeling that they knew what vegan is because I was offered milk for the coffee and yogurt for the granola. When I just chose from the vegan part of the menu

In an island with almost no vegetarian and vegan options, this is a great place! Great for breakfast and lunch.. probably the “most vegetarian friendly” option of the island

Great vegan options - Edit
I just missed the breakfast here which is a shame as they had some great vegan options.
Read moreTheir lunch menu had several items that could be made vegan by subbing feta for chickpeas. I went for the crepe. The crepe itself was a little thicker than I’m used to and seemed heavily fried but the filling was delicious.

Dedicated vegan options section. The special menu had a savoury crepe vegan but minus the feta. So good. Also had the vegan burrito. This will be my go to for the rest of my time here. Other options can be made vegan

Good breakfast - Edit
Breakfast can be hard to find in the area if you want something vegan and that's more than a smoothie. So the vegan section with 4-5 options there is great news. Lots of veg options too.
