Best Vegan fish and chips in Scarborough - Edit
An excellent Fish and Chip shop tucked away from Scarborough town centre. Great Vegan offerings. We had the Tofu fish and chips, which was amazing. The big chunky chips were perfectly cooked and the tofu was very convincing as fish. A really good price as well. Definitely recommend and worth the walk from the town centre. Will go again

I had the tofish, chips & mushy pea bomb. The tofish is full of flavour. I was eager to try the mushy pea bomb after reading the reviews. It most certainly did not disappoint! Really tasty. The whole meal was delicious.

The tofu is really delicious, quite small pieces but really tasty and with a stack of chips as much as you need. Worth booking online for collection as can be quite busy. Beware, the sign said they don’t do vegan options on Fridays.

Amazing food!! - Edit
Before travelling to Scarborough I was eyeing this place up so when my meat eating family fancied some fish n chips, I suggested this place. It was easy to get to from the front, only a 4 min drive and the food was amazing!! I had the battered tofu and chips and my family has fish butties and said that was tasty too - so if you're with fish eaters, it's good to know!

No photos as I had to carry it back quickly to my holiday flat and eat it while still hot. I had a mushy pea fritter bomb (delicious), battered tofu and chips with curry sauce (all excellent). I managed to eat most of that on my own too!

I will definitely get another takeaway from them next time I am in Scarborough.

Delicious! - Edit
Great service and friendly. The lovely lady found a vegan pie for us out the back and the tofu was excellent. As a lover of mushy peas the pea bombs were outstanding and enormous, even growing teenager boy was impressed! Good portion sizes too. Separate vegan menu with good choices up on the wall and OH enjoyed the regular menu options, so suits groups with more than one way of eating. Hope we're up this way again to enjoy!!

Great to have vegan options and they're really well done, too! - Edit
My partner and I had the tofu, Quorn nuggets and the battered LM sausage with chips and it was wonderful! The tofu was great - really well seasoned and not soggy at all which I was concerned about. We pre-ordered and the food was ready on time and the staff were friendly too. Overall, would recommend!

Absolutely delicious!! 🌱 - Edit
First time I've got to a chippy in over a year due to not finding anything I can eat other than chips every now and again. But this place did battered tofu and chips with curry sauce which was all vegan. I was very impressed with how many options they had as well for vegans. It was like I said DE-LI-CIOUS! and would 10/10 recommend to any vegans in the area to try this. I'd defo go again! 🌱

Nice! - Edit
We bought the tofu and chips then drove down to the beach and enjoyed them down there in the sunshine. According to sign in window they don’t seem to offer the vegan options all days of week at the moment, so double check before travelling there.

Tofish and chips - Edit
Having walked along the front the previous day and then having to sit and watch my omni daughter eat chips, cooked in beef dripping, I was delighted to find this fish and chip shop. It has a large vegan menu cooked in a separate fryer.

Brilliant vegan fish - Edit
Exstensive vegan menu, the tofish was gorgeous! As was the vega curry sauce and the mushy pea bomb😄They don't display the vegan menu in store so have to ask about it, and don't serve vegan menu on Friday's (this may be a temporary thing though?)
Read moreDownside was I had to wait for over half an hour for my food, wouldn't have minded too much if they'd told me (I get that the vegan options will all be made to order) as I would have gone back to the car, but I was stood outside waiting for 35 mins.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Good understanding of veganism
Cons: Long wait for food

Order online in advance and try the pea bombs! - Edit
We just managed to squeeze in an order before lunchtime closing. If the vegan fryer hasn't been used yet it needs 15 minutes to warm up so we were advised to order online or call an order in so they can turn the fryer on. We had pea bombs, Pineapple fritters, a battered sausage and chips- the pea bombs are excellent. I've never seen these before but really worth trying. Weve not had Pineapple fritters before either and enjoyed these more than we thought we would- like Pineapple cake! All hot enough to still be hot when we had driven down to the North Bay to eat them. Staff gave us vegan scraps too. Staff helpful and lovely

Full Vegan menu except Friday - Edit
To preface this review (I’m very fussy and I recommend)
Read moreI had tofu, chips and a pea-bomb,
The Mrs had quorn fish fingers and chips.
Really really pleased, the tofu was thinly sliced, seasoned and covered in a light batter, you get 2 good pieces and a fair portion of chips, I’m a big portion kind of guy and I was happy and full after. We drove to the seafront and messed about setting up the table in our camper and the food was still warm when we started our meal, not soggy either, (which is a risk at some chippies). I would’ve had fish-less fish cake but they don’t do them anymore, but I was pleased after because I got to try the tofu! Would definitely go again and recommend. Finally a vegan chippy option
Pros: Separate full vegan menu, not veggie/vegan combo , Friendly staff , Very good food
Cons: No vegan Friday but Sat-thur is better than nowt

Outstanding - Edit
This chippy was outstanding! Vegan menu and a wide variety also at very reasonable prices. We ordered online and it was ready for the time we ordered it and that doesn't happen often these days. The majority of the packaging was recyclable or compostable with a paper bag and wooden forks which was also a massive positive. This Chippy needs to be shouted about because they are doing everything right at the moment and hats off to them. The food tasted amazing which the only downfall being no salt and vinegar when the notes online were suggesting to mention if you didn't want anything so we automatically assumed you would get it. Other than that it was outstanding from start to finish!

Not on a Friday - Edit
I was looking forward to going here as so many of the chip shops use animal fat to fry in. Unfortunately when I arrived I was told that they don’t do the vegan fryer on a Friday.
