Amazing Wraps!! - Edit

Quinoa wrap is amazing. Also tried a bit of the tofu one which was equally as nice. Real good smoothies also, left not feeling too bloated but a good full. Kinda expensive to be honest, but it was real nice so was deffo worth it.

Pros: Tasty healthy food

Cons: Expensive

Komme gerne wieder ;)

Pros: Alles Vegan

Average... - Edit

Really expensive for what it is as the food is average. Burgers were dry and needed sauce. There are better and cheaper places in the same area, that are owned by locals. Wouldn't go there again. Cool how it's all vegan though!

Pros: All vegan!

Cons: Expensive, Average food

Все божественно вкусно - Edit

Отличный «омлет» из тофу и кокосовый йогурт (с кислинкой, совсем как настоящий). Все сэндвичи тоже на 10 из 10.

Amazing vegan gem - Edit

Although a little hidden away at the back of the market, this spot was easy enough to find following the map. The staff were so friendly and helpful, offering advice on what to try and gave us a cute table outside, turning a fan on for us. The portion sizes were very generous and the food was very tasty, we had lots of things off the menu to share between a group of us and every single dish was delicious so you can't go wrong. The only downside was the toilet which is a little walk away and what you'd expect from a Thai market toilet, so eat before you go to the loo as there's no hand washing facilities.

Pros: Big portions , Very tasty , Fresh and healthy

Cons: Toilet

Nice Vegan Food - Edit

Run by a friendly and professional couple the place has an open kitchen concept. You can actually see everything prepared fresh in front of you. Don’t expect cheap eats, however it’s the quality which bowls you over. We had a tofu burger and a cappuccino with coconut milk. Both amazing. I

couldn’t get enough - Edit

We ended up coming back the next day for more. We had the lentil burger and grilled veggie wrap both were enjoyed. Vegan food as always is a little more expensive than non-vegan but well worth it. The kids didn’t eat with us this time

Pros: easy to find, in market with lots of kid friendly options.

High price for not that great quality - Edit

Prices are close to Western prices, which would be ok if the food was great, but both items I had were disappointing. The smoothie especially was warm and lumpy. There is a vegetarian organic place right next door which would be worth trying.

Amazing find - Edit

Incredible food, was a great find in the night market. It is a little bit pricier than other options but it is 100% worth it. You can see everything being made fresh for you and the taste was great. Would recommend the scrambled tofu and avocado wrap.

Pros: Fresh food, Friendly staff , Great taste

Expensive, and charged us for non-bottled water. - Edit

Prices are high, portion sizes are small-medium, and they charged us for water from their cooler jug without telling us we would have to pay for it.
Ordered 2 meals and asked for our own personal metal water bottle to be filled up to save on plastic.
We ate our okay meals, nothing great, it was quite expensive, and we weren't full. When we went to pay, we were surprised as the bill was 20 baht more than expected. When we asked for the breakdown, he told us he charged us 20 baht to fill up our water bottle.
That's the most we have ever paid for water in Thailand, and he just filled up our bottle from his jug. It costs less than 1 baht per litre for the water he gave us...
What a scam this place is, getting way too much money from foreigners...
Much better options to go to.
Right nearby there is the Baan Jai Dee booth and you can literally get 3 times more food, 3 dishes, for the price of 1 at Capana.

Pros: none

Cons: expensive small portions charge for water that sho

DimSl 13 Jan 2018 - Dear Greensmear,

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your feedback. This is the only way we can learn and get better.

Also we are sorry you had expectations that you can have 1.5L jar with mineral water for free. If it was from the sink we wouldn't mind but this is a water we also buy for ourselves. You should have asked but equally is also our fault for not letting you know in advance.

As to the quality and size of food and whether we are scam we'd leave the customers to decide.

Thank you and we hope we can get another chance to serve you.

Warmly,
Dima and Petar

Amazing food, super friendly people - Edit

This was my favourite place in Phangan. Couldn't get enough of their homemade quinoa and avocado wrap, which are prepared before your eyes, crunchy almond salad and energy brownies!

What I really liked about this place that is open and you can see how they prepare the food. The couple who runs it are super friendly and their staff is professional and kind.

Every time the food was super fresh and absolutely amazing and the portions are huge. As most vegan/healthy places, Capana is not at the cheap end of the scale but the food is worth every penny. High recommended and will return.

Pros: Fresh, absolutely ,delicious food, Huge salads, great variety of food, Very cosy seating at the back

Cons: Market is busy but they have quite seating area

Top notch tofu scramble - Edit

Tofu scramble wrap was lovingly made and very fulfilling. Unfortunately only managed to go here once - I would've liked to try some of the other dishes! The menu is a little small, though it seems like they're taking a less-is-more approach - what's being served looks really well thought out!

Pros: Delicious food, Decent value

Cons: Small-ish selection

Capana is now 100% Vegan and great food - Edit

This food shop inside Tong Sala's food market called "capana" before was vegetarian with vegan options. The good news are that since one week ago the shop made the step to became 100% Vegan! So they made a new menu. I tryed already the scrambled tofu and also the curry Dahl and were very tasty and big portions. The capuchino with coconut milk was delicious too. So if you are in tong sala I recommend you to have a try and giving support ;)
The owners are a nice vegan young couple with a baby and good vibes that also goes in the food.

Pros: tasty food, Big Portions, 100% vegan and vegan owners, good vibes

Vegan food for the soul - Edit

Capana is an amazing vegan resturant with a menu that excites your tastes and keeps you coming back for more. After finding this gem in side the market we have been back many time to try a variety of different items and each dish has been carefully selected with amazing ingredients that leave you with a smile. Vegan food is not always easy to master but these guys have clearly put all their love into creating a beautiful vegan experience. It's worth going out of your way for this place but lucky for us it's right in the middle of town.

Pros: Vegan + French wine!, Beautiful private seating in the back., Lovely staff and menu

Cons: Market can be busy but seating in the back in nice

Best Restaurant on the Island! - Edit

We've been living in Koh Phangan for the past six months and we LOVE Capana. We eat there most days and sometimes we go there for lunch and dinner because it is so good. I first tried their Burmese salad in 2016 and I've been eating it at least 4 times a week ever since. It's going to be the thing I miss most when we leave KP!

Capana is always beautifully clean and you can see the chefs make your food with care and great hygiene practice (very important!). They give great, professional service and we are always greeted with a warm smile and often a lovely conversation. The menu offers a vast range of delicious food and is very vegan and gluten free friendly.

If you're visiting KP, you simply have to eat at Capana!

Pros: Excellent Food, Great Value for Money, Lovely Staff

Cons: Market Area can be very noisy/smoky
