Homely asian food - Edit
Cozy and homely asian vegan food. They changed the menu since last I was there, but it is still very good. Recommended!
Read moreHowever, the portions are on the smaller side. Note that they do not take reservations, and there is usually a line of people waiting to get in.

Basic but useful - Edit
There are very few veg spots in the neighborhood and I am very grateful this one exists. That said, the food is not amazing. It’s functional, serviceable, on par with any other office lunch. As a vegan it’s great to find an at-par office lunch!! But this isn’t the place to blow your hair back.

Lots of options and what we ordered we enjoyed. Service was incredibly quick!
Read moreMy only critique is the seating was a little table with stools, so not one to sit for a long time comfortably at.

Freshly cooked and delicious - Edit
Visited just after 1.30pm on a weekday and luckily didn't have to queue for too long. It's on a slightly quieter road in a super busy area, easy walking distance from the Louvre. There's a mix of lighter and heavier meal choices which is helpful. I recommend asking for extra rice for the options with sauce, as the small amount given isn't quite enough. The crispy taro balls are very crunchy but light enough not to spoil your appetite. The mapo tofu style main is very spicy. I had the Sechuan aubergine (eggplant) and it was really delicious with a sour and spicy sauce. Seems to be more of a fusion Vietnamese-Chinese menu.
Read moreVery efficient staff who are quite used to awkward tourists like us. They have table service but you just go to the counter to pay when you've finished.

Affordable and tasty - Edit
Came by for a solo dinner. The place had a queue in front of it the entire time I was there. There are a few options on the menu and many of them are vegan, I had Sichuan aubergine and 2 of the skewers, all very tasty. Unfortunately they don’t do matcha lattes for takeaway so couldn’t try that.

I love this restaurant with all my heart ♥️
Read moreEverything tastes good but really, with my boyfriend we call this place « the brocoli place » because these brocoli skewers are *insane* 🤩
And the Poulet du Sud is our favourite dish, it is so tasty ✨
If you handle spice good, mapo tofu is very good too and the aubergines is quite savoury as well
Pros: Brocoli skewers, Poulet du Sud, Mapo tofu

Brilliant Vegetarian/Vegan Asian Food - Edit
Whilst Paris is abundant with Asian food, it is not always easy to find good vegan/vegetarian Asian food.
Read moreThe food at Cantine de Lotus is very good and, while not all the food is vegan, offers a great variety of vegan and vegetarian food. I've been there several times and have always enjoyed the food and experience.
The restaurant itself is quite small but I personally think it is full of character. It is clearly popular and a favourite for many other people.
Pros: Good food
Cons: Small restaurant
