Good range of veg options and tasty food - Edit

Husband and I found this place on our first night in Granada after arriving late one evening. English and Spanish menu, plenty of vegetarian options and good serving sizes. Food was reasonably good with plenty of veggies.

Check it out - Edit

This is a veg friendly Mexican restaurant. I ate with 3 other vegetarians/vegans and we were all able to have something different. The waitress was very friendly (spoke English) and modified our meals without any difficulty (removing dairy products for vegans) prices were very reasonable as well.
A bit tricky to find , be sure to take your map.

Pros: Friendly service, Veg options, Fair prices

Cons: A bit tricky to find

Outstanding veg food in Granada - Edit

Vegetarian options in southern Spain aren't the greatest (it may be a few years before I can look another potato omelet in the eye) and good Mexican food -- a staple of California existence -- is a refreshing rarity in this otherwise cosmpolitan city. It was so good that we came here twice, and were not disappointed with anything we ordered. Dishes come adorned with extras -- beans, pico de gallo, salad, rice -- and the service both times was friendly and prompt.

Both times, we were among only a handful of customers, but each time one of the other customers was smoking. The smoke, not the food, was my only problem with this restaurant, but what can you do?

Moderate prices, authentic decor, and an accommodating staff combine to make this one of the better veg dining experiences in the Andalucian region.

Pros: outstanding food, great service, many options

Cons: just the smoke

Great Mexican food in Granada - Edit

We arrived at the restaurant expecting to have a dinner of diluted, quasi-Mexican food. Instead we found each item to be delicious and reasonably authentic. The overriding theme of the restaurant is that although it's not solely (or necessarily primarily) a vegetarian restaurant, any item can be made vegetarian. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about the restaurant is that unlike most Mexican food, the dishes we ordered were not greasy and we did not feel stuffed at the end of dinner. I had a great quesadilla as an appetizer and enchiladas for dinner (which had unusual ingredients inside, such as grated carrots and bean sprouts, but they worked surprisingly well). My husband had a vegetarian burger (made of beans). At the end of dinner, they provided a complimentary juice and tequila. This is a great find in an unlikely place (and much needed in a city without many vegetarian options). True, it's not a pure vegetarian restaurant but probably the most that can be asked for in Granada is vegetarian friendly (which most restaurants aren't).

Pros: breadth of menu, food quality, location

Cons: none

Comfort food - Edit

We ate here twice because we enjoyed it so much the first time. The servers were friendly, and the food, while not quite authentic Mexican fare, was very tasty, using some unexpected vegetables and bean sprouts. In a country where it can be hard to find much vegetarian food, this was our comfort spot.

Pros: tasty food, friendly staff, good portions
