Quaint cafe with great brunches.

Stopped in during a weekend trip to Swansea, went for coffee and brunch on a Saturday morning. Liked it so much we went again the day after. Homemade food, great selection and looked family run.

Pros: Homemade food, Breakfasts/Brunches

Great Service

Ordered a Fully Loaded bagel but got it modified with whole meal toast on the side no bagel to have it like an English breakfast style. I also ordered an orange hot chocolate.

My friend ordered the panko tofu bowl and cappuccino chocolate.

We both enjoyed what we ordered. Contacted on Instagram and staff made us aware kitchen closes 3pm so they can take orders before hand so its ready for when we come.

I'd like to see a full English Breakfast on offer with scrambled tofu beans hash tomatoes mushrooms.

Like they play the music at a low volume so it makes conversations in the cafe more pleasant.

Pros: 100% Vegan, Very friendly flexible service., Gentle music

Cons: No Full English Breakfast

Best Vegan Cafe

My partner and I were on a road trip around South Wales and passed through Swansea. We found this gem on HappyCow and were so glad we did!

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. We loved it so much, we made a point to come back on our way home for a second visit—it was that good ☺️

Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thanks so much, guys!

Pros: Food, Drink, Staff

No 18 👌👌👌

Visited here for a Brunch in August after doing the local parkrun. Super friendly service and food was awesome! Lovely Pancakes and sausage Sandwich. They also have separate GF menu. I had an Iced Coffee which was lovely too. Really good value - definitely recommended! 🌱

Great british style breakfast

Our host recommended this place for their great British breakfast. And boy was she right! I had a great breakfast with all what you crave from an original British breakfast.
Homemade smokey baked beans, homemade seitan based bacon, mushrooms, sausages etc. all on one platter.
Besides that the hot chocolate I had was also great and the staff very friendly and welcoming!

Average Coffee

We didn’t manage to eat here, sadly. Arrived at 14:55 to get a food order in before the kitchen closed at 15:00, but were told the kitchen was already closed. The optimist in me thought 15:00 meant 15:00! As we were already there, we ordered a flat white with oat and a vanilla chai. Sadly, flat white came as a latte and the coffee taste was lacking. The saving grace was the vanilla chai, which was delightful!

Will have to return to try the food as we’ve heard good things.

Hi Lloyren, I am the owner of No 18 and please accept my apologies for this coffee. This is not a coffee we are proud of and it should not have been served to you. Please contact me when you are next planning to visit so we can redeem ourselves with a complimentary coffee and cake.
And apologies for the kitchen closing 5 minutes early. We had sold out of everything due to a busy bank holiday!

Lovely little vegan place

Friendly staff. Loved the Buddha bowl but it was more like a salad. I think it needed some beans/grains/pulses or to rice etc.

Superb local Vegan cafe

Been a couple of times, as it looked autumnal we thought we would order the Ch*ckin and Sweetcorn pie and the Root Vegetable Casserole with cheezy mash, everything was piping hot very tasty and lots of it, also had the Vanilla Cheezecake which was gawjus! Staff very attentive and you can always have a chat with someone there, nice place very clean! Dogs allowed as well so bring your pooches!

Pros: Excellent food and service, Great atmosphere , Very reasonable

Cons: Struggle to park, same everywhere though, Nothing else, Nothing else

The best vegan food in my area.

Being fairly short of vegan options in my area it's a treat to have Canteen 18 as a local all-vegan restaurant. Friendly vibe and service, dogs made to feel welcome, and the food is delicious whether you wantba healthy Buddha bowl/salad or fast food. They also do vegan nights and special events.

We had the most amazing food here. It was too bad it’s not really a dinner place (anymore), but they were happy to serve us around 5 pm and we could order from the lunch menu.

Cosy, homely, lush!

We popped into Canteen 18 this morning for a full breakfast, pancakes, tea and a hot chocolate.

The cafe is bustling, friendly and homely.

The food was DELICIOUS and just what the Dr ordered after a night out.

Pros: Friendly staff, Incredible breakfast , Extensive menu

Cons: You can only park for an hour in the bays outside

So many options (sweet and savoury)

Very friendly staff with cosy decor. Even my non vegan partner loved the food.

We had a Southern friendly chicken burger, all day breakfast (vegan Black pudding was lovely) and two slices of cake.

Seems to be a popular spot with locals as well which is always a good sign!

Defo worth a visit whether veggie or vegan.

Vanilla chai latte was fab as well if you like something sweet!! 100%vegan as per the name.
