The atmosphere was nice, but the waitress was unfriendly.
They had very little vegan options (the only vegan main course was a pizza).
It was very expensive and the food gave me a bad stomach.
Would not recommend.
I'm an habitué of this restaurant since a few years. Being an italian in Paris I am always looking for good pizza and here I found one (the thin kind). The owner is passionate about italian food and is always choosing good products for his restaurant. As a vegetarian and then vegan, it was easy to eat at canaletto and it's easier now that the menu is changing and becoming richer in vegan dishes. Starters, a very rich cheese-less "pizza végétalienne", pasta, gelato and good italian wines. All the staff is welcoming and very open to veg-food demand. The place is cozy and it allows big groups of friends to eat together. The view on the canal saint martin is the cherry on the cake. Don't miss it for lunch, dinner or just for your "apéro".
