Nice situation but not worth the price - Edit

The visit of this place was quite disappointing : although very well situated in a busy (and touristic) place, the place wasn't crowded, which we were happy about at first.
Yet, the staff didn't welcome us in and didn't inform us of how to proceed : we finally figured out that upon entering, you have to grab a seat first, leave your bags on the chairs to reserve the table and then come back to the cashier's desk to order (and pay before eating !).
The table we sat at wasn't cleaned of its previous dishes until being served the order, a little while later.
The food was good, although we would have been liked to be informed that the cheese was optional in the burger : ours came without, while another table's burger had.
And the potato wedges were really good... but really scarce. There were only 5 of them in my friend's plate !
We left the premises afterwards, still hungry, and looked for another place to have dessert.
As a conclusion, I would recommend the staff & owner to improve their service and quantities : the setting is really nice (although it needs a bit of a cleaning, too) and it wouldn't need much to be a really awesome place.

Pros: Nice view of the canal, Homemade food, the potato wedges were really good

Cons: Really small portions - 5 potato wedges on a plate, Slow service & uninformative staff

disappointed - Edit

Husband and friend ordered the burger and I had the cashew nut curry. The waitress gave my friends burger to someone else and he waited over 30 mins for a new one. Burger good but wedges really greasy. Curry was OK but felt unwell all evening. Peanut butter cheesecake was OK but really salty. Would not go again and would give less stars if I could. Poor service

Pros: good location

Cons: food, staff, expensive

100 percent vegan, many raw and gluten free foods, healthy and yummy.
Modern but cozy place, wooden furniture, beautiful view on the river nearby.

unfortunate rebrand - Edit

I was very excited to try this rebrand of the famous Inspiral Cafe. Although things looked relatively the same I was disappointed to find that nobody working there was vegetarian or vegan and there seemed to be some attitude around it.
Food was okay, not fantastic. my 11 quid burger was fair. The daily wrap was overly saucy and too salty.
Other factors which disappointed...
Many of the desserts are made with agave, it's 2016.
Staff was not well trained, I asked for a couple plates to share, they were sopping wet.
Dairy for drinks.
Overall, it didn't get any better.

Pros: location

Cons: expensive, agave and dairy, non veg staff who don't get it

Excellent! - Edit

I loved Inspiral and wasn't sure if the re-brand would live up to how it used to be, but it does! It's exactly the same as the old place, except that the taste of the food has improved. The menu is not huge but the dishes are interesting and amazing. Burger is fantastic. Desserts are seriously delicious. Only disappointment is that the coffee bar still serves cow's milk as an option. :(

Nice Vegan Food in Camden Town - Edit

Very pleasant and prompt service on the lovely canal. The vegan food is nice and there is a very wide selection. The service was quite pleasant and prompt. I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The clientele were also friendly.

Pros: Good food and Varied Menu, Pleasant Staff, Environment and Surroundings, Reasonably Priced and Convenient

Cons: Can be Crazy Busy! Camden Town!!

Yummy food, really crammed - Edit

The food here was pretty good. We got the tofu fish and chips (highly recommend) and the lentil risotto, both of which were very good. Cappuccino with almond milk was also tasty. They have crammed a lot of tables into a small space, so it did feel a bit claustrophobic.

I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews of the service. The staff was not overly friendly like you would find in the US, but we didn't have any problems. When they accidentally billed us twice for one dish, they were apologetic and fixed it without issue.

delicious vegan cakes!! - Edit

Years ago (when this place's name was InSpiral), I've had some lavender ice-cream to go here, which was nice but actually a little too much of the same taste after a while. And somehow, I never came back.
The other day though, I stopped by, craving for some cake and I was seriously overwhelmed! The selection of food, especially sweets, is incredible! If you can't find something here, you won't be lucky anywhere else.
The girl behind the counter was very helpful and patiently explained different cakes to me, pointing out her favourite and helping me decide. I'm sure I could have taken anything but settled with a raw (I'm really getting into these!!) peanut cake. L.O.V.E.D. it! not the cheapest (I believe I paid 4,50) but portions are huge, take away no problem and I liked the fact that they use single-use-spoons made from wood instead of plastic. great place! definitely coming back! next time most likely for "proper" food :)

Pros: taste & variety, location (you gotta visit camden!), service & staff

Cons: price (but it's worth it!)
