Yummy vegan pastries & coffee

They have a lot of vegan pastry options like cakes, muffins, cookies. I got a banana bread chocolate chip muffin I will never forget, it was crazy delish. Also a huge chocolate chip cookie that was perfect. Their coffee is okay, they have soy, oat, and almond milk I believe. I like the cold brew since it was a little stronger. I’ve gotten a latte here and it didn’t have very much flavor. Other than that, it’s a great place to bring a laptop and work (they have WiFi) or just chill and enjoy the vegan goodies!

Be careful

My wife and I love Camino when they get it right, but do be careful when ordering any drinks non-dairy/vegan and verify your order was heard correctly. We have both had some really unfortunate belly issues from the first couple sips where we realized dairy was in our drinks rather than the requested non-dairy.

We super appreciate Maggie though, she always gets our orders right. When the drinks are made correctly, there's no competition.

Pros: Usually at least 1 vegan food item, non-dairy milk

Delicious vegan scones and a top notch soy latte!

I am visiting Winston-Salem from Asheville, NC. Have been pleasantly surprised by the vegan delights available in several establishments. I have visited the Brookstown Camino Bakery twice and have had delicious vegan scones and a great soy latte, you know the kind with the tight dense foam on top both times. Service is friendly and quick and all the items are clearly labeled.

Pros: Delicious baked goods, Clearly marked ingredients and vegan choices, Competent and friendly staff

Cons: Tight space in the Brookstown location.

Good coffee and vegan breads

Good coffee and vegan options. There are two locations; a larger shop downtown and a smaller one near the Brookstown Inn.

Not bad

We got vegan breads, cake, coffee, and a sandwich. All of which were pretty good.

Great Drinks, Good Vegan Goodies

The "fancy" coffee drinks and other seasonal drinks at Camino are some of the best in town. They often have vegan sandwiches and a few pastries. However, they often run out of vegan options early. I stopped by at 12:30 for lunch the other day and they had already sold out of vegan sandwiches.

I would give 3.5 stars if it was an option.

Pros: Good Drinks, Good Food, if you can get it

Cons: Sell out of vegan food, Can be hard to find a seat when college in session

Good food but limited vegan options

When we got here, it was Monday around 2pm. There was only vegan pesto sandwiches left for purchase. According to the waitress, there are more vegan baked goods on Fri-Sun.
And all of the day's freshly made vegan products were sold out by the time we arrived. So if you are considering coming here for some nice meals and baked goods, call ahead of time...
In the end, we just got the pesto sandwich and went next door Mellow Mushroom for some vegan pizzas.

Pros: hip/vibrant place

Cons: not much vegan options
