Worth it for the view alone - Edit
The Cambrian serves a range of snacks - pizza, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, chips - with vegan cheese an option in most cases. Veganism is well understood here, as the landlord is vegetarian and the landlady vegan. The draught ales are from the excellent Tudor brewery in Llanhilleth; I had the golden ale called Blorenge, named after the brooding mountain that looms over Abergavenny (and one of the few words that rhymes with 'orange').

Below you is the ravishing Clydach gorge, with the hamlets of Maesygwartha, Clydach North and Blackrock strung out along the hillside opposite you. One pint will never be enough.
Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Tudor ales, THAT view
