Read moreMy favourites were the eggplant taco (eggplant cubes were nicely breaded and fried), California roll taco, and the calamari taco (which had togarashi sprinkled on it, giving it a lovely bit of kick).
The crispy maki furai roll was also very enjoyable.
Everything had a little too much rich sauce on them, I would have liked the flavour of the fresh ingredients to come through a bit more.

The food and drinks menu is extensive here and everything I've tried so far was scrumptious and so delicious! Bar and wait staff are very friendly and it feels like a super friendly environment to dine at. I would love a better fitting music for the vibe (they were mostly playing 80s-90s American pop songs).

Having had a great experience at the other Mexican street food restaurant on King Street, I was keen to see what this one was like. We ordered the set menu and I made a point of ordering pisco cocktails, since this was the bar’s specialty. The atmosphere was fairly unremarkable. Drinks and food came out very quickly and it was nice not to have to wait around. The smoked chicken nachos were nice but but the most substantial nachos I’ve ever shared. The charred corn was deliciously messy in the way one would expect. The cauliflower wings were fine but unexciting with a crowd-pleasing sweet sauce. The tacos we chose - carnitas and chicken adobo - were both tasty but super sloppy and (more than typically) hard to eat, to the extent it detracted from the experience. As a rule, tacos are only small, so you need to make that brief gustatory event a good one. We chose the churros for dessert and they were drenched in dense syrup but still quite delicious. I’d been a bit worried it wouldn’t satisfy my big appetite, but it was enough. Staff were polite and in studiously intrusive. I’d come back to try out the rest of the menu, and a couple of different cocktails.

Great tacos, great drinks, not a huge fan of the other tasting menus because everything's fried. Still, my partner loved the 5-spice brownie, and he's never liked vegan brownies before, so cheers to that. The taco tasting menu, on the other hand, has all the taco options for 35, with very generous portions. Highlights: smoked chicken, mushroom adobo, fried calamari, and the California roll. The other ones taste pretty good as well, but these just blew my mind, especially the calamari (I had low expectations) and the adobo mushroom. Chill atmosphere, friendly staff, decent price, amazing taste. Highly recommend this place.
