California Homemades To Go

Coming from downtown San Diego, my wife and I invited some vegan friends from the Fallbrook area to meet us in between at California Homemades for lunch.

Shanti, the owner, took great care of us, including letting us sample the three scrumptious soups she had steaming in the kitchen. It was hard to choose which one to order!

The menu is clean and simple and delicious, not to mention wholesome. And our friends are very happy to finally have a 100% vegan eatery so close to home!

Really love this place. Today was my first trip. Everything was made with care and very fresh. Worth every penny and all vegan. The pumpkin bread was awesome. This place equals Vegan Family 😋💚

I don't think I even have to give an explination

Actually found this place by accident while driving through Escondido! Almost wrecked the car when I saw Vegan Soup Bar on the sign!!! Yes, finally in Escondido we have another Vegan option! Had to try the food so we went there today. Incredibly delicious food! It's a bit limited menu, but it's only open from 10 - 3 Tue thru Saturday, so it's perfect for lunch. The food is almost all organic, and there are homemade soups, salad dressings, and drinks. I had the creamy potato soup, a salad with creamy garlic dressing, and toast with avocado! Absolutely the best. All vegan All awesome! The staff was very friendly and really made us feel right at home! I'm totally doing a happy dance right now! :-)

I am so excited to have a nice little vegan place in Escondido! The food was extremely fresh and flavorful. I had a wonderful salad with sunflower seeds and their minestrone soup was to die for. I highly recommend this great little Escondido gem!
