Now meat free! - Edit
The café is under new ownership since April 2025 and is now meat free with everything on the menu either vegetarian or vegan. I tried the smoky tomato soup which came with sourdough and was delicious. The nearby sculpture trail is worth exploring too and Calgary Beach is just glorious. Well worth a visit.

Nice Café - Edit
Nice little place (not much choice in this area...), coffe with oat milk was really good, just 1 vegan cake, it was ok but not overwhelming.

Good for vegans! - Edit
We visited here during a cycle ride and were really hungry. The staff were super helpful upon answering the 'what do you have for vegans?' question. Some of their options can be adapted. I chose the vegan breakfast, which was healthy, tasted fresh and was tasty. There was plenty of food on my plate but I made room for the delicious vegan chocolate cake

Great little place - Edit
We came here off season so the main cafe was closed but they had a self serve cafe open, which only had tea/coffee and 3 cakes two of which were vegan. It was a suggested donation of £1 for a piece of cake and £1 for tea / coffee.

Beautiful location, but food is only okay - Edit
The vegan options are basically a choice of soups, which taste okay and are warming on a cold day. Even though I mentioned that I want a vegan soup, I got served a small pack of dairy butter with the soup, which is a bit annoying.
Read moreThe location is absolutely superb and the walk down to Calgary Bay is simply great - definitely worth a visit for that alone.
Pros: Some vegan food (nothing great though), great location
Cons: staf a bit unattentive
