delicious food, lovely service. - Edit

We arrived on a quiet Friday afternoon and perused the small but tasty sounding menu. Everything was delicious and healthy with raw options and beautiful smoothie, juices and coffees to choose from. We loved the Beauty and the beets and Mexican burgers and the carrot apple and ginger juice was sweet, fresh and spicy. Very impressed and as they were closing early we were treated to the last slice of delicious chocolate avocado cake. Out of this world good čśü

Pros: healthy but super tasty make own milks!

Cons: smallish menu, but totally delicious

Nice vegan in Nice - Edit

When I visit a city for a week-end, I try not to go twice to the same place for lunch... Caju has deserved this rare privilege! First time, some tasty raw noodles, and the second time, an excellent burger, plus both times a great smoothie. Apart from the food, the staff is super friendly and will be happy to chat despite the fact that the place is extremely busy. Recommend it!

Pros: Super friendly staff, Great food, All food is homemade, before the clients

Cons: Come here in advance since the place gets crowded!

Great vegan find in Nice old town - Edit

Caju has been on my list of vegan places to try for a long time! This month I finally made it whilst on a weeks holiday in Nice. I was interested to try the vegan restaurant that seems most talked about in this area of France.
Situated right in the heart of the picturesque Nice old town, it's simple to get too and definitely lives up to the reviews, exceptionally attentive and warm service, with a menu that changes seasonally. I had a lovely chat with the owners.
We arrived for a lateish lunch around 2.30, which meant that only two of the three available burgers on the menu were available. However the two we tried were great! Other options for us would have been 'rawsome vegan life noodles' or little bo bun'
We went for the burgers, and split burgers in to two so we. Like try both. We had the 'Beauty and the beets burger' as well as the 'Garden party' id happily eat either again.
Each burger comes with a side of 'blue crisps' (as described on the menu) Basically light crisps with a natural colouring. This is a nice touch and reminded me of the burgers and crisps served at vegan Mexican places I'd tried. It's a much lighter option than a burger and French fries.
The burger bun comes with with homemade vegan mayonnaise, it was so good I asked for more. If your gluten free there is gluten free bread available on request instead of the wheat bun.
Apparently caju will soon be changing owners, possibly within the next month!
However apparently it will still keep the same ethos and remain 100% vegan :)

Pros: 100% vegan , Chilled atmosphere , Seasonal menu

Perfect vegan gem in Nice! - Edit

This is the perfect little gem here in Nice!! And the owners are just the nicest couple you could think of :) It's a pitty that this cafe is only open half the week. The smoothies all sound incredible and the one I had was amazing! Nice in general is quite expensive which in my eyes justifies the rather high prices, and compared to other places you get good quality (vegan) food which tends to be rare in Nice!

this place is something special - Edit

Don't let their hurried demeanor fool you, Julian and his partner will talk for as long as you want to about anything imaginable - especially their lives as nomads and vegan food! This place is incredible and offers both raw and cooked vegan food. Everything is delicious and healing. Their burgers, elixirs, juices, smoothies, and desserts are creative, healthy, and tasty. They put a lot of work and care into creating great food in an even greater environment. It's one of the treasures of Nice. Most everything you see in there is re-used, recycled, and repurposed one way or another. They have a true dedication to promoting kindness to animals and to one's body. You can even have your astrological and numerological profile read to you if you tell them your birthday :). Also was traveling solo and was introduced to another great traveler that was a pleasure to talk with while eating there. This is apparently a common occurrence.

worth going - Edit

A very nice place, quiet, yet in the old touristic town run by a very nice couple.
I only had a juice and a salad that were very good, I should have had a smoothie, too bad, but I will be back next time I'm in Nice.
They are (together with Koko green) my favorite place in Nice.

Pros: well located, good food, warm welcome

Cons: none

delicious! - Edit

everything about this lunch experience was superb: food, owners, atmosphere. satisfied both the vegan and the omnivore eaters. i can see that this would be a difficult place to get into during the high-season. we found it to be pricier than others have described - well worth it, but just an observation.

Best Burger and Best Smoothie I've Ever Had - Edit

It started out with a green smoothie which was a dream. You can choose between soy milk and almond milk for your smoothie and they have a long list of various smoothies of all kinds of flavors.
My burger was full of multiple flavors, the sauce was great, I loved it, it was simply amazing.
It was perfectly rounded off with a piece of raw chocolate cake.
They also offer other raw meals.
The two people working at Caju are very sweet, friendly, extremely hard-working and you can see they want to make every single guest happy.

Pros: best vegan food in Nice, great staff , amazing smoothies

Cons: chairs a bit uncomfortable

Fresh food in a welcoming atmosphere - Edit

During our stay in Nice, we visited twice, so we were able to try many things from the menu.

Everything was freshly made and delicious.
Highlights were the burger, and the red bean chocolate cake.

The couple running the place are very nice and welcoming.

Definitely worth stopping by when in Nice.

best vegan place in Nice - Edit

Love this place so much. It was my second visit and and the owners were just as lovely and welcoming as they were the first time. Everything is cooked from scratch and the food is always healthy, fresh and of course vegan. Many items can also be made to be gluten free. The first time I had one of the delicious chocolatey smoothies and a raw cake - both amazing! And my most recent visit I had one of the tasty burgers (made gluten free by swapping the bread) with a bean brownie - again both amazing food. The place is friendly and inviting and 100% worth the visit. Situated in the old town, you can have a little wander to burn off your vegan brownie afterwards too.

Pros: 100% vegan, Gluten free options , Super friendly hosts

Cons: none at all!
