Went to try and eat here a couple of nights but they seem to be closed. There are no signs up, nothing on their website and no call diversion set up

OK but not great - Edit
A pleasant Italian restaurant in the heart of Pitlochry and all power to them for embracing the vegan market although apart from the option of vegan cheese on the pizzas and some vegan ice cream there isn't a great deal here that you won't find in most Italians. The service was good and the food decent enough but nothing special, and you really don't want large pieces of onion in a risotto.

Perfect to duck into while it rains... - Edit
My wife and I shared a pizza and salad. It’s very thin crust and scratch-made with vegan cheese available. The vegan ice cream with espresso was a lovely way to end the meal.

Monday night rush - Edit
Really nice food, with a good variety of vegan options (olives, risotto, pasta, pizza with vegan mozzarella, ice cream). The staff could answer questions about the ability to adapt some dishes to be vegan - I.e bruschetta.
Read moreHOWEVER, service was extremely slow and there were some mix ups with our order, and other parties in the restaurant. We booked a table at half seven, arrived on time, and didn’t eat until half eight. The staff could have just been having on off night, and the food was still good, but I won’t be returning with hungry walkers in tow again.
Pros: Vegan options marked on menu, Staff knew what meals could be adapted , Vegan options for all three courses
Cons: Very slow service

Vegan Pizza! - Edit
I visited Cafe Scozia after seeing that their menu had some marked vegan options and I was impressed with the staff's knowledge about the menu items and their recommendations of other things on the menu that could be made vegan. I had the Quattro Stagoni with olives instead of ham and with vegan cheese. I think they use a rice cheese as it melts really well. I also tried the ice cream, the chocolate was particularly good. You usually get a trio of flavours but they'd run out of vanilla.
