Serves meat, vegan options available. Fast-casual restaurant franchise founded 2006 in Utah. Offers a menu of sandwiches, salads, grain bowls, and soups. Ask which items are or can be adapted for vegans.
The food is fresh and lots of healthy choices of salads, sandwiches, soups and grain bowls to choose from. The dressings all have oil in them. They have a vegan chicken sandwich and a vegetable sandwich which has mayonnaise and cheese on it. I got it with no cheese to make it vegan. It has vegetables on it which were only a few thin slices of cucumber and tomato and very little lettuce. It had some avocado on it with a mayonnaise based dressing which I wish it didn’t have on it and a thin layer of hummus on it that I wish was more than they put on it. It had more of the sauce and avocado than the vegetables! Vegetables are pretty inexpensive and I didn’t get the cheese so I think I could have gotten more vegetables on it than I got which it is called a veggie sandwich! They can’t deduct the price of the sandwich with no cheese on it so you pay for the full price of the sandwich. They could put more hummus on it instead of all the mayonnaise! The bread was a ciabatta bun which was good. I don’t know if it is oil free or vegan. They give you a roll with your meal which is not vegan and a milk chocolate covered strawberry so the chocolate is not vegan. They only have One soup to choose from that is vegan, which is a garbanzo bean, celery and broccolini soup in a vegetable stock. It was ok but it could have had more seasoning and vegetables or rice to have some starch in it or a dairy free creamy base would be better.
They serve lots of meats and dairy in all the food choices so it’s not as good for a vegan as there are not many choices at all that are good. They don’t have any tofu for a protein choice they only have a vegan chicken substitute. The restaurant is clean and they have very good servers, which are all very nice and they clean up after you. I would go back there again on occasion since the choices are very limited but I would ask for more vegetables and no mayonnaise on my sandwich. I would bring my own dressings since I don’t eat oils.
what used to be one of my favorite restaurants is now one i avoid. there is one soup available, some salads, and one sandwich. do your research before you go! not many employees know anything about veganism- and check multiple sources as the website has been wrong before! (cheese in a soup advertised as vegan)
not a first choice by anymeans, however you can find options if you find yourself stuck there for a meal.
