Vegan Salads and Soup - Edit

While this is not a vegan restaurant, Cafe Zupas does offer several fresh and delicious salad options that with a few modifications can all be made Vegan. My faves are the Maui Tropical without chicken and substitute either Quinoa or Tofu at no extra charge to be completely vegan, the Asian Citrus with no chicken and subbing quinoa or tofu or the Strawberry Harvest with no chicken and subbing quinoa or tofu with no chz and adding another fruit option like mango. Other salads such as the Nuts About Berries, Mango Berry or Thai Protein bowl are all vegan by default. There is one soup option that is vegan and it is the Roasted Veggie and Quinoa. Please note that all sandwiches made on bread are not vegan as the bread at Zupas does have buttermilk. The Roll also has buttermilk and the chocolate over the signature chocolate dipped strawberries also contains dairy products.

Pros: great, fresh food!, vegan options if you are willing to substitute a b

Cons: most team members are not really knowledgeable on

Needs more vegan options - Edit

The veg protein power bowl is my go to meal item here. The quinoa soup is vegan too and delicious. I'm upset that they don't offer even a vegetarian kids meal item, so I end up paying an outrageous amount to get my 5 year old a vegan meal that's much too large for her.

Pros: Two vegan menu items, Can modify menu items to make them vegan , Build your own salad

Cons: No veg kids menu items , Only two vegan menu items

Decent - Edit

My husband and I were staying near Salt Lake City for business. While he had many business meetings and our rental car I ventured out on foot and came across Cafe Zupas. They are extremely limited on Vegan options but I was able to create my own salad and they had quinoa, tofu and oil & herb dressing. On that day they also had a completely vegan soup option that was ok but not great. In a pinch it was a decent option.

Pros: They have quinoa & tofu in salad bar

Cons: limited Vegan options , No Vegan cheese for panini's , They have many desserts but none are vegan friendl

Good for vegetarians, not as much for vegans - Edit

There's plenty of options for vegetarians...soup, salad, and sandwiches as well as their signature chocolate-dipped strawberries for dessert.

For vegans there is a (modified) veggie sandwich, one soup, and plenty of salads. It's a healthy and quick place for lunch.

Pros: Vegetarian-friendly

Cons: Very limited vegan options

This place is NOT for Vegans... - Edit

This place makes me angry. They have so much potential to serve decent food for everyone, but they literally have ZERO vegan options. The staff are not trained on what is on the menu, and they have no idea what is actually in the food. I was glad to find a Noodles and Co. down the street.

Cons: Untrained Staff, No vegan options

ElainaRose 04 May 2017 - Not sure why your experience was so bad :/ They do serve tofu and you can easily sub it in some dishes, I have had no problems here. In addition, Noodles and Co have egg in their noodles, so nothing really vegan there.
